Ordering 2022 Willys
I have 22 Willys 2 door 3 pedal. I have no issue with clutch or anything. I love driving this manual. Can't speak for prior editions. Had it on beach and some trail riding. No rock climbing or anything, on trail manual was fun. Guess it is total preference. I did not want to go auto and choose the 4cly turbo. Did not not like that setup at all.

Just traded my 392 for a TRX. Needed a Jeep in the stable so ordered a 2 door Rubicon with Auto and 4.88 gears. 35's in the future. I am having second thoughts about the auto. My 2015 Hard Rock was a stick and it had less than desirable throws and precision. But I do like driving a stick. Query: is the current manual better than that in the 2015. Will I sacrifice performance with the V6 and manual compared to the auto? First post and glad to be here! Included my latest toy.

I love manual transmission, but placed an order in January for a 4D Rubicon auto because I wanted the Xtreme Recon package and it was only available in auto. Otherwise I would have ordered stick. If you like stick, go for it ! even if it is not as efficient as auto it is more fun !

Thanks for all replies. For this Jeep I opted for the auto. I will drive it for awhile and if I find myself missing that 3rd petal, it will make great trade material. As for the TRX, jury is still out on the longevity in the stable. Well built vehicle, nicely put together and an impressive ride. That said practicality is not a strong suit! It only has 200 miles on the clock so recouping my initial investment should be possible. Time will tell. Thanks again.
I just read this one. Give it a chance, you may like it !

I enjoy my JLUR and Shelby, both with 6-speeds. If I’m not feeling the stick, I’ll rock the minivan. Banging gears is definitely my preference on “fun” vehicles.

My opinion, I have a 2020 Willy's with the manual / V6. I'm in agreement with the others, if you have a Jeep, one should have a manual tranny. I was surprised at how soft the clutch is, in simple backing or having to feather the clutch up hill, I have "smelled the clutch". I'm waiting for when the clutch needs replacing, then install a heavier duty clutch.
