Audio system issue - cutting in and out

Here's what I received Monday (1/28) from my dealer service guy:
"Chrysler informed us that they have received a few logs from customers with the same issue. They are currently evaluating the information to rectify the concern. If we need additional info, they will set up a flash drive for us to install in your jeep to gather data. At this present moment they are hoping to find a fix with the data they have received. I will let you know as soon as we hear anything from Chrysler"
While I'd like to get this resolved immediately, I believe my dealer is in communication with Chrysler and will get this resolved. Not much else I can do. In the mean time, mine has not acted up, but I will check for lack of back-up lines if/when it does happen again.
My audio system last acted up on Thursday, January 17th...was at the dealer for 4 days that next week, but has been working since the episode on the 17th. I just thought I'd give an update, and we have had very cold weather during that time with an actual air temp of -31 and wind chills of -60. We'll see what happens.

My audio system last acted up on Thursday, January 17th...was at the dealer for 4 days that next week, but has been working since the episode on the 17th. I just thought I'd give an update, and we have had very cold weather during that time with an actual air temp of -31 and wind chills of -60. We'll see what happens.
It happens to me in Florida with 70 degree weather. So definitely not temperature related.

I'm thinking they there will be a recall on the entire UConnect system, wiring, or something coming up in the next few months once they locate the cause of this. It is very frustrating though not getting any resolutions or help from anyone.

my 2018 JLUR is having some serious radio issues, first, the radio screen would not turn off when I turned off the jeep, I had to remove the fuse in order to do so, worked for a day or two, and now the radio doesn't come on at start up, then after a few start ups it came back on, CLEARLY there is a problem with the radio, and I am now concerned I'm going get hassled by the dealer because it will probably work by chance once I bring it in...please advise what I should do..its pretty embarrassing showing people my new jeep and having my radio not work, especially since I'm spent thousands in the dealer on a warranty alone... @JeepCares

Just an update. The dealer had my car for a week, didnā€™t mind since I got a loaner for them so a week without mileage on my JL is good.

They were able to replicate the problem and Jeep informed them they are working on a software fix. Hopefully, it comes eventually but nothing they can do now.

That's just not right. I don't understand how they can just get away with that. How can a company leave customers without a fully functioning radio for months. If there is a known fix it should be applied ASAP. I don't get it. Worst company I've dealt with, honestly.

Depends on the week and the temperature out. I had 1 full week straight recently that it was cutting in and out every day, so all my commutes to work and back I had no radio (the temps that week were below 24), then we had a few days of nice temps and it worked for a few days straight, but now temps have dropped and not working again. Unfortunately since we are in the middle of the winter, I will be having many days of non-functionality. I've also noticed that when it does work, the volume seems off. Does not seem to be functioning optimally anymore regardless.

See this is crazy. I have a STAR case open. If they know it is software, not hardware, why are they tearing my IP apart, AGAIN, to put a new radio in if they know it won't fix it. I guess they can claim they are doing "something" to help the problem. This has been by far been the worst vehicle from a quality standpoint I have ever owned. I used to work in the Prototype testing program for Fords, and seen lots of issues on first run cars, but they were always on top of it to get the fix out quick... just crazy..

Just an Update. My radio has been working without issues since they replaced my backup camera on January 17th.

Mine acted up yesterday (Saturday 2/24) I took a video for the dealer, and when it was happening, there were no lines appearing in the backup camera. So they must be related. An hour later, everything was working fine again. Will have to contact the dealer.

Just trying to repost other people's videos to start getting this going viral..... the fact that it's taking Chrysler so long to fix this issue is embarrassing.
