Our 25 Sport is a much better fit for the driving we do. In the next 3 years, I will do 3 oil changes and nothing else.

I have other issues on my plate.

My TJ went to its new home this morning. I have had it for sale for 3 months. About a month ago I quit answering responses on my ad. I do not want a grill, side by side, trampoline or any discount coupons. I will not accept $2500 or payments. Anyway, it is gone, I have a parking spot back, some cash in the bank and one less thing to maintain.

I know how it goes.

Sold a vehicle a couple of years ago and the amount of simply brain dead replies was a lot more than I expected.

Examples:

"Would you consider a trade for a homemade trailer?"

"Will you finance?"

My favorite:

Q: "What's the lowest price you'd sell for?"
My A: "What's the highest you'd pay?"

They're out there, walking among us. ;)

I’m guilty of ā€œWhat’s the lowest you’d sell for?ā€

Ha ha! I looked for like maybe a minute but couldn't figure it out. Looks like FoMoCo shock towers, but no 2025 JLU as alluded to. This is what a V8 stuffed into a JK/JL really looks like:

The JL is my wifes ride, I drive an f150.

Her Jeep is hers to do as she pleases. Other than those stupid ducks and the fuel door cover, it's bone stock. I ordered the parts to add auto headlights and will add proximity door locks as well. I doubt it will ever see a dirt road.

I limped the 67 Mustang home 5 years ago and tore it down to the shell. original six cylinder car, it has taken me this long to acquire all the parts I need to do a proper V8 swap and fix everything that needed fixing.

Man, your TJ looks amazing and really makes me miss my '99 that I sold several years ago. I especially love that fact that it's bone stock too. Rare to see any CJ or Wrangler that hasn't been bubba'd several times over. If you lived closer to me, I would have gladly bought it without asking stupid questions and dumped my JL. Hope you got what you wanted and best of luck with your other automotive endeavors!

My pentastar is down, so I have been considering a 5.3 for it. The JL just has so much more electronics than the JK.

You can never go wrong with a V8 in a Wrangler. Oodles of torque and power, they are a blast to drive both on and off road. It's really what a perfect Jeep from the factory should be. I would buy a new 392 but they don't make it with the right amount of doors. Total was about $27,000 including the donor in 2013. Worth every penny.

I keep telling myself I have a plan for the new green booger, just stick to the plan and don't overspend this time. But the draw of a V8 can be overwhelming once you have tasted the forbidden fruit. I've already caught myself absentmindedly spec'ing out the SRT 6.4L/Tremec T56 combo. Dammit!

Is it wrong that I immediately recognized that as the 67 Mustang, even though I've never owned one?
