Not sure it qualifies as attic but the vector offroad shelf and xg cargo bags really make it easier to load out for adventures.

I made brackets and mounted a rear cargo tray to sit up high and out of the way. My modification will only work without soft top, and possibly only on a 4 door. I think 2 door roll bar might be different.

I ended up mounting the Hooke overhead molle panel upside down. I have the backseats out so I don't need to worry about headroom and wanted more attic space. Sadly, I would have just done an extension to drop it down so I would still have the upturned sides of the molle panel pointed up, but they welded the nuts on now apparently. Or the previous poster removed them for their solution. Anyway, I would ratchet strap anything down either way. I'll post a pic later.

We use a soft cargo net from Vector Offroad. Problematic if you have someone sitting in the backseats, but if you have no rear passengers, it’s a great solution for separating/organizing some lighter stuff up top, and heavier items on the seats/floors below. It’s been a game changer for us when car camping. We’ve tried stacking our crap from seat to roof, folding the seats down, using plastic tubs, etc., but this solution results in us being able to keep clothing duffle bags and quick access stuff on the seats and floor below. Creates 3 distinct areas for organizing: Floor, Seats, Attic.

Quick to set up with the cam buckles. I loop it around roll bars, and handles to get the 4 corners where I want them, then just adjust height of all 4 corners quickly as needed.

The Vector net is super heavy duty. See pic below, the webbing is rated for 3,500 pounds! I don’t know about that claim, but it could easily handle hundreds of pounds - not that you’d want to put heavy items that high.

You can likely find a cheaper cargo net on Amazon. But not sure if you’ll find one of better build quality, or made in USA if that’s important to you.

Here are a few pics with the attic when we overloaded it for a trip (typically we have far less up there, but this shows you how much you can cram up there if you want to employ ‘beast mode’ for the attic):

Check Dominion Offroad for a great rack for HiLift jack. I've used their mount with the accessory add on for almost 5 years now. Mount is solid and lots of soft extras can be stored above the tools.

Not exactly "attic" storage, but this is what I did. An AAL M.A.S.S. storage shelf and XG Cargo bags on the sides. It keeps the cargo floor empty, still allows rear vision through the rear view mirror, and is rattle free.

I keep my "Get Home Bag" in my Jeep all the time, which has everything I need to survive for ten days if I ever need to walk back from the middle of nowhere. I also keep recovery gear, a tool kit, tent, sleeping bag, change of clothes, water purification, etc. The Milwaukee Pack Out carries a Milwaukee electric chain saw, batteries, a 4-ton bottle Jack, jumper cables, etc. The XG cargo bags carry small survival items, MREs, and water bottles.

Another soft option is the Gear Spot: https://www.thegearspot.com/

We have one, but weren't happy with the tendency to get loaded and impact the usability of the rear view mirror.
How do you think it would fair holding a few blankets and jackets? Do you think it would sag with lighter items?

MOLLE platform solutions overhead MOLLE racks.

I have them front and rear, there’s even a little space above for books, iPads, laptops, Santa hats ??

Also, XG Cargo bags if you’re just looking for “free” storage room

I copied a simple option I saw on here with 2 Amazon bungy nets, some bungy ball ties from harbor freight, and zip ties for like 40 bucks total. Works awesome for jackets, bedding, sleeping bags, etc.

It’s a peak designs capture clip; usually designed to fit on a backpack strap or belt but I just drilled a couple holes and use it in the jeep, works great ?

I think people would be more apt to trust your opinion if you had more than 10 posts :P
