Our transfer cases specify ATF+4 type fluid.

What are the pros/cons of using Mopar branded ATF+4 versus aftermarket ATF+4's? (Valvoline, Fram, Castrol, etc)

Pick your brand of preference; if it meets the spec you're set. I personally went with Redline C+ ATF. If not that, I'd call Valvoline my #2 choice.

Thanks. Reason I ask is because a while back with GM’s Dexron fluid, they dropped the license on Dex III, so aftermarket fluids were all over the place and there wasn’t a real standard for the fluid spec anymore. If you wanted true Dex III spec, you were best served by finding fluid produced under the former license.

I assume that is not the same story with ATF+4 and the aftermarket stuff still meets an actual spec, but wanted to check.

Actually just purchased some of the AmSoil signature series ATF multi vehicle... It's actually rated higher than the Mopar spec ATF+4.

Jeep Wrangler JL ATF+4: Mopar or aftermarket? 1000001286

If you're a member, and you got that discount going for you, you can get a gallon of it for about $60, and if you spend over $100 with them it's free shipping. Otherwise without the membership I think they charge like 80 bucks for a gallon of it. But hey a gallon should last you to transfer case changes!
