Hey JLWF dealer guy, any word on JL 2 door production start date? Ordered JL Rubicon hard top on 12/18/17. No info from dealer, factory rep. Jeep chat or “ customer care”. I’m kind of dumbfounded at this point. Any insights?

Does dealer holdbacks apply to factory orderd vehicles or just vehicles on that lot? Secondly, are dealer holdbacks the same between Canada and the US?

What happens if you order now something that isn’t quite ready yet like a tan premium soft top. Does your order just languish in order stand by until the item becomes available or does the system just not take it?

What is taking the tan soft top sp long?

Ordered last Saturday, provided $1k, good price, but dont have VON on paperwork and dealer said they will let me know when it shows up on the order tracker.

Is this reason for concern, or is it just the beining of the agony of a factory order?

I ordered on a saturday, but they couldn't officially order until the next wednesday. Once it was put into
the factory system I had a von immediately. If he wasnt having probs with system I would have gotten a von on saturday.
you need to make sure on the POC (priced order confirmation) under options it says "4ea sold vehicle" to make sure its not a dealer
ordered vehicle.

My apologies if you have already answered this but do I need to have been a member of Tread Lightly for 30 days before ordering or 30 days before picking up/purchasing to utilize the discount?

I am in Southern California and seem to be struggling getting any dealer to agree to consider less than MSRP so that 1% below invoice would be very helpful.

Thanks!!
Hey Jane - I'm in SD. I had to work a ton to get it, but ended up up getting 4% under invoice with an $80 doc fee. It was a week of going back and forth. Most dealers said nothing below MSRP.

SD Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram. I told them about the dealer in ID that was dong 5% under invoice. I have to make a trip from MN (where I'm from), back to SD anyway (the truth) - so told them I could stop there along the way unless they got somewhere close. We started at about 1% under invoice, and I kept working it. Ended up at 3.85% under invoice, after I got them to take off $200 for the difference in the Infotainment package between the Jeep site and dealer build sheet. $80 doc fee - makes it pretty dang close to the Koons deal.

That's a good deal! Could you tell me who the salesman was?

Wish I would of known this sooner...SD is 3 hours from me, well worth another 2+%, got a cousin there to stay in case I get lost on the breweries around town and can't drive my baby home

Here is my build i was quoted, i was told this was 5%-6% below invoice pricing, is that correct? And also which numbers is the final price before taxes and fees? There are 4 different prices, I'm not sure which one it is. Thanks in advance

FWP is the invoice price I believe and EP is employee which is 5% below invoice if I'm correct

Edit:

I got this from heckler in a previous post

This is the Priced Order Confirmation, or POC. I'm pretty sure all dealers can generate this.

Here's a quick guide:

MSRP Prices Column: Self Explanatory. You should never be paying this price unless you don't care about money.
FWP Prices Column: Invoice price for each option and total invoice price.

FFP: FCA Affiliates Price. Same as 1% below invoice or "Tread Lightly" discount.
EP: Employee Pricing. What employees get, or 5% below invoice
HB: Dealer holdback. What they dealer is going to earn even if they sell you the vehicle "at invoice" (note - often will be other incentives where they get even more). Dealer is lying if they tell you they are going to "lose money" selling below invoice.
