Hi again. I’ve ordered the JLRU, but is it too late to negotiate? I’ve never ordered a vehicle before, so I’m out of my depth with this. I normally purchase off the lot. I know my dealership does a lot of business, so I’m not sure that they feel they ‘have’ to negotiate. BTW...thank you for all you do with everyone in these forums. It’s much appreciated. :)
Not too late. Did you give a refundable deposit?

Just saw no deposit. Negotiate, otherwise, you don’t own it till you drive off the lot.
So I should go ahead and at least get a tread lightly membership to help with the negotiating process?

Ugh. Florida.

Looks like the dealer guy agrees with me. Tell him you found out about the Tread Lightly affiliate and you are going to sign up and ask him if he will honor it. If not go somewhere else.

Also look up the BonusDrive program. You can get a $500 refund after you buy your Jeep. Good luck!

This is my invoice. It is a sold vehicle and I am not looking to screw the dealer over. I simply want a fair deal.
Ah, Florida. There have been mumbling sof the Florida dealerships being a bit uninformed and a little shady. Still, MSRP is not a good deal. What you should do, if you like the dealership, is let it come in. By the time it arrives, the other Jeep’s, and yours will be discounted online. Then, go in and work it out.

Im right there with ya! The dealer in my area is now not happy with me that I talked to Koons. He has told me that Koons is a hoax and they just want to get me there so they can change the deal.:headbang: I have been very upset over this whole process and Im really tired of being on the defensive of paying too much. My boyfriend keeps telling me to take the Koons deal. So I need to make a decision by tomorrow. Yet another sleepless night :crying:

You are close enough to take the Koons deal. I assure you. It is legit and a great deal. If you have to decide by tomorrow, decide now and buy from Koons. No, I am not with that dealership, far from it, but. It is a good deal. I’d love to sell all you all your Wranglers but, can’t :( maybe some of you already have though???:bandit:

Yes. Do it now. You need to be affiliated for at least 30 days.
Thank you so much!! I really appreciate all the invaluable information! I just became a member of tread lightly. My Jeep hasn’t made it past D status as of yet, so I think the membership should work.

I'll only put up with crappy salespeople who have a specific used vehicle I really want. Don't let this dealer put you through the wringer for a Jeep that any dealership anywhere can order for you.

You are ordering a manual with Dual-Top. You have plenty of time! They won't start building those for at least another month or two.

Edit: Sounds like Dual-Top may be moving so the wait may not be that long after all. But you should still have at least 30 days before delivery.

Planning on finally placing my order tomorrow. Thinking about adding the dual top. I feel like I read that some orders with that have begun moving through. Is that accurate? Was initially planning on going aftermarket for a soft top, but the premium soft top seems like it might be a good deal for less than $1000 (below invoice pricing). My only hesitation is I need a vehicle relatively soon. Any thoughts or suggestions?

BTW, any dealer putting a market adjustment on the JL should be publicly chastised. No way they should try to put money on top of MSRP. Boooooio!
AirPark Jeep in Scottsdale, AZ has a few JLs in transit. If you click on the “view on dealer website” link the prices on their website are signicantly higher than MSRP-like $4000 plus over.
