Maybe asked already, but the configurator forces you to upgrade wheels with the anti-slip rear differential on the Sahara. Is it because the standard wheels don’t work well with the Dana 44 or is it a configurator glitch?

Not required in the order guide. Probably a configurator glitch.

It looks like most of the D1 Jeeps were ordered in the first special allocation. Not all, I know, but most. They do take them as they come in.
can you explain how allocations work?

Since there aren't any JL's in stock at the dealerships, is there any way to purchase now and get the 2017 deduction on taxes or would you have to take delivery before Jan 1?

Ah shit! :crying: That's a very good question with SALT deduction changes in 2018 - I wasn't thinking about that (9%+ sales tax here.)

@JLWF Dealer Guy On the online configurator, when you choose the anti-spin differential rear axle it forces you to get the upgraded wheels for $895, is that a system glitch or is something that is required to get? Also do we know if the AEK Infotainment group is $1495 or 1295, order forms and online configurator are showing different amounts.

I ordered my Jeep already.

It’s a glitch on Chrysler. You do not need upgraded wheels for the antilock rear differentials. However, you do need to get select trac for the rear differentials.

Infotainment is 1495, alpine audio (stand alone) is 1295.

Configurator glitch. You don't HAVE to actually get them.

can you explain how allocations work?
Allocations are based on last 90 days of sales. If a dealership sells a ton of vans, they get a higher allocation of van. If they sell a ton of Jeep Wranglers, they get a larger piece of the available build out for the next month.

So if a dealer tells me allocation is closed does that mean only they don't have any more available?

I ordered 60 days ago and am still in D1 status...... should I be getting concerned???

So, at the beginning of the month, FCA releases "how many each dealer gets for stock". That is the allocation. Once everyone puts in their orders, eventually, they order the set amount, whatever that is, that FCA can build for that month. Then, the next month, they release the next allocation for stock orders. Essentially, yes, that means the plant has taken its limit of stock orders for that month. But, you can custom order a "sold" unit at any time regardless.
