I'm a huge fan of the Katzkin. I prefer the tabby! Just kidding, but seriously, the Katzkin was the leather upgrade for the JK. The quality is better in my opinion and yes, more choices, stitching, etc. I think its a great option. The only draw back here is that they are kits and may not be readily available at the start.

On their website it already has the JLU listed. If I had to wait a couple months, no biggie. I just want to know if I'll be okay with them. having cloth for a while won't kill me, just like the red dash won't kill me either!!

MSRP price seems a little low compared to what other dealerships have quoted me for the same build. I was asking 3% under invoice btw....

The MSRP is not controlled by the dealer. If it is lower then there are less options added. Either you forgot to mention something or they didn’t include it. You better look over your build sheet to find out what is missing. It looks like the only things you haven’t added are proximity entry, headliner, upgraded wheels, and safety package though.

I'll ask for a build sheet, those are the only options I want. And only thing is sales tax is high 9.5% compared to 7.75 to another dealer only offering 1% under invoice.

Jeepsmashin I believe the sales tax in California is calculated for the address where you register the Jeep not the tax rate of where it is sold.

I don't think this is close at all. Are you sure they priced the right build? You need to get an actual detailed quote (I think they call them Configuration Preview) from your dealer. Don't let them just give you one big number.

Perhaps they quoted a 2 door Rubi. If not, get em to sign order and give deposit

That's it! That MSRP pretty much matches a 2-door. It looks like it's about 1.3% below invoice for a 2-door. Get a couple of doors aftermarket and you have yourself a deal.

I do see Unlimited listed. Perhaps dealer put wrong figure in- 4 dr=$40,495. 2 dr=$36,995. A difference of $3,500.

Thanks guys, I knew something was off since the MSRP didn't match what other dealers were giving me for the build.

I told him to give me a build sheet (POC) so I can see the breakdown and know what I'm actaully paying.

I posted this on the Canadian order guide page but hope you don't mind me fishing for information here also....

"Guessing I am not the only frustrated Canadian who sees JL's being delivered in the US,and even in Canada and yet we still cannot even configure a JL on Jeep.ca,I don't get it...!... I cannot order at the dealer yet as I am waiting for Sting Gray,but it would be nice to configure and see if the option packages are different compared to the US and have a better idea of the pricing!...anyone know when the configuration will be live? ( I would assume asking someone at FCA would be a waste of time!)"

and a bonus question while I here which does not justify a post of its own!.. are the front cupholders illuminated?
