Wax the finish on occasion to keep the shiny red going.
it's actually a reasonably high quality finish and I just had to wipe it down with some wax&dry after filling it with fluid

My ARB front and rear diff covers will be delivered next week. Looking forward to have them on!
What are the torque specs on all those M8 blots? The online manual didn't list torque specs for Jeeps M186/M210/M220.

Just wanted to update this thread. I have had the ARB diff covers installed for about 8k miles now, and I have recently removed them and replaced with the stock stamped covers.

I just want to be clear that I'm not knocking anyone that likes these covers. They obviously have their place in the market. But I had several issues with them that made me want to take them off.

1. The finish flakes off and rusts almost immediately. I live in California where we don't have any road salt of snow or anything like that. But after maybe 3 months, the covers started rusting, especially the front cover. The bolt heads rusted as well. I tried to sand the rust down and spray with clear and that helped it, but then other parts of the cover began to flake off and rust.

2. Reading the dipstick is very challenging for me. I can hardly read the fluid on there. I wish it were pre-marked from the factory. I'm just always nervous about how much fluid I actually put in there, if it were too little or too much. The stock cover makes it really easy, just fill until it overflows.

3. There's dirt buildup around the dipstick o-ring, so it always gets nicked and dirt gets in the diff when you open the dipstick. I honestly never found a way around this. You can spray the crap out of it with brake cleaner (which also accelerates the rusting lol) and I would still get dirt going in the diff since the fill is at the top of the plug. Defeats the purpose of the cover because then I have to remove it anyway to clean the dirt out.

Anyways, I will be running the stock covers until I find something that suits my needs better. Maybe I can find a way to work around these issues in the future and re-install. Who knows. But for now, the stock covers are fine.

I've read conflicting things and would like to know if I need a sway bar relocation bracket when adding the front ARB differential cover to the stock M210 front axle on my 2023Jeep Gladiator Rubicon? About once a year I go to places where I'll really be needing the articulation that the stock suspension provides and with sway bar disconnected. Thanks in advance for anyone that has added the front cover that can reply here.

do you mean track bar?if your swaybar hits your diff cover you got some issues :) I think @Panhead5 ran into that issue with the ARB cover.. I am running AEV covers and Steermart trackbar that is much thicker than stock and no issues running trails that will require max flex....
