Sounds more like a racist rant to me then venting. His problem seems to be with the engine being built in Mexico than anything else. Would he have felt the same if he had the exact problems if it was made in the mighty US-of-A? Would he have worded his “venting” differently? He seems to blame Mexican labor as one of the issues. And to suggest that ONLY the US and Japan should be building engines is pretty stupid whether you are a mechanic, doctor, or rocket scientist!Alternatively:
The guy's a mechanic. He started the thread to vent. That you don't like him not implementing suggestions doesn't make it a bad tread. There's a lot of good stuff in here.
He seems to have the background to take the pulpit on the topic and to ramble as he chooses.
I recently sold my 2019 Toyota TRD Pro Tacoma. Great resale value but that 6-speed auto transmission was a huge disappointment. I had the tranny software updates done and it still had a mind of its own. It was calibrated for fuel mileage and the Toyota engineers never could get it dialed in.I've got a few buddies with 2016 and up Tacos and not a one of them is happy. Engine issues, frame issues, automatic is hot garbage on its best day. I had a first-gen Prerunner and I wish I'da never sold the thing. I almost bought a 2016 when they came out, but I'm still glad I held off on the new engine.
My sister has a Corolla, and those still seem to be decent little sewing machines, although I don't care for the CVT. And I didn't understand for the life of me why she traded her Jeep for that when she moved to Wyoming, of all places... until she drove back and forth from Indiana 4 times within the next year.
Bullshit. There has been NOTHING racist here. Take your garbage elsewhere.Sounds more like a racist rant to me then venting. Ive been thiking it sounds like a Kubota !! ?I've got the 2020 2.0T and like others say it sounds like farming equipment the first 1-3 minutes, then smoothes out. Being a 2020 it's pre COVID, at least in terms of the 2.0T I think the tractor sound is "normal" for this engine vs a problem.
