My 2019 2dr Rubicon has 35" tires with 4:10 gears. And a bent axel....

I found a set of built axels with 5:13 gears that came off a 2020 4dr Rubicon.
He said they have 5000 kilometres on them.
Yukon 5.13 gears factory lockers RCV chromoly front shafts Reid racing knuckles TMR Customs 2.5 ton billet aluminum steering Brand new brakes.

My question is are the axels the same width and a straight swap?
If not how big of a job is it to make them work and what needs to be done.

Is the 5:13 to much gear for a daily driver.

Thanks Folks. Cheers!

Rubicon axles are wider. 5.13s are too much for a daily driver on 35s.

I daily mine on 5.13s and 37's. That is probably too much gear for 35's.

I'll step in and be the contrarian here... I wouldn't turn down a set of good axles running 5.13's even with 35" tires. I'm on 35's with 4.88 gears and many times I wish I had something lower. I don't know what engine/trans combo the OP has, but with my 3.6 V6 and six speed manual, coupled with the fact that I live at 6,000 feet elevation, I think 5.13's would be great. If nothing else, you'd be ready for 37's if the need arose.

Does elevation really make that. much of a difference?
I'm only about 900 feet...

How does elevation make a difference?

Cheers!

It does to a normally aspirated engine, I have a turbo diesel, so elevation doesn't make as much difference.

Will be a while before that will happen unfortunately.

What do we think these axels might be worth....
Owner said they have approx 3100 miles on them (5000 kilometres)

It robs the 3.6 v6 of power. I have 4.88s with 35s also, and at 6,000+ elevation, there are some roads that the jeep can’t maintain 55+ mph in 4th gear going up hill.

I agree that 5:13 wouldn’t be bad with 35s and 6 spd manual. First gear would be useless, like it mostly already is with 4:88s.
