It's all relative, how are you managing currently?

I have three kids (one in a rear facing car seat) and currently drive a 2 door Civic Si, it's possible - but not remotely comfortable or easy. While the JLU is not the biggest interior, it's a huge step up from what I have currently. When I checked out the JL, I would have some concerns with rear facing seats as those tend to take up more room, but hopefully I've timed it well enough that by the time it's built, I can go straight to forward facing.

My 8 year old was amazed at the amount of legroom in the back though. :)
Great point @Stale . We do okay. My daughter can kick the back of my seat now (I put her forward facing behind me) but have been considering moving her to the passenger side anyway.

We're planning for another so will end up with a rear facing at some point but maybe by then we'll just have a booster for my 2.5 year old.

This is how I have mine arranged. A front facing convertible on the passenger side, rear facing convertible in the middle, and empty seat on the driver's side. The rear facing would be be harder on the sides due to restrictions on front seat recline and position. Once forward facing, that's not a big issue. However, carseat width does become problematic when using wide carseats. If you need 3 across, you're going to want to search for narrow seats.

@digitalbliss looks like there is plenty of room for two for sure. Appreciate the pictures that really helps.

Okay great. We've got a Nuna Rava and that thing is huge too. Do you know if you can put a carseat in the middle or just on the sides?
Only two car seat anchors on the outer seats on the back, not the middle. Fitting three seats would pose a challenge, even a booster in the middle is a no-go with two on the outer seats. YMMV. (Dad of 10) ;)

Most LATCH anchors are only good for up to 65 lbs. My 4 year old is 45 lbs and his seat is at least 20 lbs. A seat belt works just as well. If you use a narrow seat such as a diono radian rxt it will work.

3 kids in car seats (I know call me crazy), all 3 fit in our old JKU. Hence why 3 years after trading in the JKU for a van, we are going back to the JLU which has slightly more room in the rear than the JKU!
I have 3 in my JKU currently. Trading in for JLUR tomorrow. Can't wait!

We bought a two door Sport before we found out the wife is pregnant. I know it will be more difficult to get the baby in and out with the front seats in the way, has anybody had significant issues with this?

My 5yo sits in his car seat behind the passenger, I have the front seat pulled up a little and he has plenty of room and doesnt kick the seat back. I need to get a " dog" partition because I do get the occasional flying object launched to the front.

I have one in a booster and one in a car seat forward facing with no issues. Can’t speak for the rear facing though.

New guy here! I'm really close to pulling the trigger to converting to a JLUS but am concerned about room with a Carseat behind and potentially having two in the back.

I'm 6'3 so usually my chair rids further back and just want to make sure my little one's have plenty of leg room.

Also, Does anyone know if the back seats recline at all or if there is an aftermarket option to allow that to happen?

Hoping to become a big key carrying member of the club!
I've got 3 kids and 2 of them are in car seats and they fit just fine. It is tighter than the Tahoe we came from but by next year no car seats and they'll have plenty room.

Rear facing is a major pain in a 2-door Wrangler.

In & out with the infant carrier/base isn’t so bad. It’s awful getting them in and out once they outgrow that to a rear facing convertible.

Once they get to forward facing it’s a non issue but you put up with 3-4 years of rear facing before you get there.
