Hey everyone,
This isn’t necessarily a jeep related question but since there are a lot of family oriented folks on here I figured I would ask (apologize if there is a detailed thread couldn’t find exactly what I was looking for).

Our son is only 9 months old but he is 32 inches and 25 pounds ?, so we need the next size car seat ASAP. We have the uppa baby infant seat and stroller so just as a progression being really happy with it we bought the uppababy Knox … IMO it’s a terrible design and unusable in my ram 2500 mega cab (see pic below). The space to squeeze him in there has headaches written all over it.
Was looking at the Nuna rev, anyone have experience with this pros/cons?
Or do you have a seat you recommend? I don’t spending money but my only concern is $650 on a seat that only goes up to 43 inches and 40 pounds …
Thank you in advance!

watching as I have a newborn (<2 weeks!) and same infant uppababy seat. Interested as I want to make sure that whatever next seat we get is Jeep-able!

as a new parent I’m quite clueless, but that seat in your pic only would makesense facing forwards, no? Not sure at what point kids transition to that, though.

Congratulations!! and Gods Speed lol
When our son was born and we spent the first two weeks home (we have no family to help) I realized that behind all of the smiles and congratulations from people when we announced her pregnancy … there was a little “welcome to the thunder dome) behind it lol

That was my thought as well, it’s suppose to be able to grow with the baby but I should have done my research and not just assumed since it was the same brand that it would be a good product … if you do a quick search unfortunately you see a lot of similar complaints …

Thank you! It definitely is intense - wonderful and intense. We’re also on our own and no visitors yet, but luckily able to take time off work at least.

Now I’m starting to explore routes/drives I can take her on during my night shift. At least that way she can slowly get used to jeeping around… soon I’ll intro her to wrenching so she can be my shop assistant ?

I just remembered we got a used seat gifted. I’ll put it on the Jeep and take some pictures for you later today!

Snapped some quick pictures for you - seat isn’t secured as it’s not being used. Hope this helps with another option, since this Britax is a tight fit (copilot seat is all the way fwd) but works until kid is 60lbs:

What I have found is the rear seats of the jeep are shallower than other cars. My 2 year old can nearly kick the back of my seat if its all the way back so look for a forward facing seat that has less bulk in the back. The Diono Radians look good in that sense. No experience with a rear facing seat in the larger size. Also, the jeep headrests suck for forward facing seats. They need to be able to adjust back or be easily removable.

Likely newer models available now, but I got Britax Marathons for both the kids. Good for 5-75lbs if I remember off the top of my head. I skipped all the seat base / stroller systems. It's wasn't hard for either of our kids to pick them up once they're asleep and transfer them. Funny how car rides knock them out, and they don't mind contorting their arms to get carried out.

Unusable -not fit to be used.
My wife is 5’2 so in my opinion the space and fitment of the seat in the picture (rear facing) is unusable lol

Installed the Evenflow 360
Design is awesome ! Couldn’t be easier to install and seems like good quality … can’t speak to durability but it comes with a lifetime guarantee

How is the seat in front of the car seat? Does it have to be pushed all the way forward to fit that seat? I’ve been eyeing this seat but already with the Nuna pupa infant seat I have to push the passenger seat all the way forward. Can you show a pic of it in use and how much room the front seat has?

A smaller variant of this carseat made the front seat completely unusable for my 5'7" wife, she had inches of clearance in front of her legs in the front passenger seat, and it wasn't even reclined fully (it was the most uprite position for a rear-facing setup).. I had the Evenflow Revolve360 Slim (I returned it). I bought it based on a Wrangler review, but it might be the 4xe is different re: rear seats due to the battery underneath them.

I have a Nuna Rava in my JL 4xe right now, and the quality is night and day better, too. It doesn't spin, and my 16 month old has had to learn it's normal to fly into his seat reverse-superman style (feet first) but my wife is very comfortable in the front seat even with the Rava reclined.

I talked to Nuna, and they indicated their Revv (spinning seat) would also be deeper, so suggested I stick with the Rava.
