I know this disconnect issue has been talked about for quite a while, but most of the discussions have been about CarPlay. I have the problem with Android Auto and an S25. There is the TSB: 08-020-24 that has been mentioned, and I've seen a few posts where someone says they tried the TSB, but it didn't fix anything. I'm wondering if anyone got the new cable installed from the TSB and actually had it fix the disconnect issue?
My experience is that most cables, including the Anker Powerline cables that were suggested as a fix, don't actually fix the problem (at least for me). The strange part is that in 2017 I bought a set of 3 braided USB 3.0 cables with gold plated connectors that came in 8-inch, 2-foot, and six-foot lengths. When I heard cable length could be a problem for disconnects, I tried this old 8-inch cable, and it worked. I then tried the 6-foot cable, and it also worked. I then searched out the 2-foot since I figured that's really the size I need, and when I tried it - it didn't work.
I guess my main question is did anyone fix the problem by applying the TSB, and also are there any thoughts on my strange USB cable experience?
