Couple of things out of the way. My 8" deck was replaced under warranty earlier in the year. I have a new Samsung Z-Fold 4 with latest updates.

Both this phone and my previous Z-Fold 3 were connected via BT, USB, and Android Auto and working fine. Volume of music was great.

This week while driving a hit a small bump and all the sudden the bass was gone and the volume dropped in half when playing anything from the phone. Everything else works as normal...It is just when playing anything like Apple Music or any other service off the phone. It doesn't matter if I play through BT, USB, or Android Auto...all the audio is a lower volume now and there is little or no bass.

I've double checked the connections. I've unpaired and re-paired my phone. Makes no difference. It is just odd that it was working great until that little bump in the road occurred. It's like something came unplugged...almost like if there was a separate amp or preamp for the external components stopped working. Like I said, the FM radio, satellite all sound like normal.

Any ideas? I had a similar issue on my previous radio...

Dumb question, did you try raising the volume on the phone? I don't think it effects wired connections, but definitely effects BT connections. Bluetooth has its own audio volume on the phone

Not a dumb question at all. We both thought the same thing. Yes, I confirmed all the volumes were full. The Android Auto was operating via the USB as was the USB Source.

Still dumbfounded
