Installed the aFe air intake and the blade runner intercooler piping
The turbocharger whistle is louder and more noticeable
Great products and materials
Installation was very easy for me

l noticed a bit more easy take off from a complete stop. And noticed about 2 mpg throughout the rpm range.
Overall I’m happy and was looking for this exact outcome !
Wish I could get rid of the dpf system
But can’t At least not yet

next upgrade will be a cooler thermostat and the auxiliary radiator
And also the external bypass external oil filter system from insane diesel

then maybe the external auxiliary oil cooler with twin fans

Nice! I did the same. Why not run the rubber flap on the airbox? It would help keep hot engine air out the intake

I ended up running some stainless tig wire around mine to keep it open. I read a lot of people had issues with it closing and causing poor performance. Not beautiful but it works

Nice job with the wire! I like the creative thinking. Also, nice job with the AFE parts. I feel they're pretty left out as a brand, which is too bad for their parts are top notch!

this is one reason, i installed it then took it off , the rubber doesn't let the hood properly close, and once it is closed one side is a bit lifted , which doesn't look right to me .

Top notch when people have to hack it to try to keep the intake open? It seems like they could design something that doesn't collapse.

I have been running a stage 2 3”300whp/550wtq tune from eoc for 42k miles. It's been good so far (78k miles total)
My hood had the same issue, if you look close at the pic I ground the lip from plastic mounting point which helped my hood issue. I was really wanting a S&B intake(what i run on both cummins trucks i have) but my patience ran out.

This is on my short list of mods I need to do. Paired with the EOC stage 1 it should be a nice addition…

330 hp and an amazing torque !!!! wow , who is EOC ? i was waiting for S&B as well, and like you ran out of patience, S&B and K&N are pretty much the same company/owners , i used to work for S&B back in the 90's , same material and design , cotton gauze/mesh etc etc.

this is my first Jeep diesel, and i don't want to push the motor, heard they are ok up to 300whp ?

I bet that was a cool place to work!
I have a few diesels but this is my first of this type, I’m not sure how much they can handle but I’ll let know if it dies.
I apologize, it is a 300whp tune not 330.

I'm in CA and can't replace my air intake. I've looked at the insane diesel oil filter. Where are you going to mount your oil cooler? I run 37' with stock 3.73 gears. Only 10K miles and now going into limp mode when oil temp gets to 245 going up a hill. Install S&B hood air scoops and removed foam plugs on both sides of the engine block. Not much help.
Dealer now wants to regear to 4.88 and try and solve the problem. They replaced the turbo and the EGR that didn't help.
