Air Compressors?

I ran a 400P for a long time, then sold it to a friend and put the ARB single under the hood of my JKR, then moved it to my JKUR, then to my WK2. The 400P is still going strong, they both have gotten a lot of use. I really liked the 400P but I got tired of moving it around and storing it, I wanted to always have the compressor with me and out of the way, under the hood works great for me. So far I never had an issue of the compressor shutting down from being too hot. I've used them to air up 32s, 33s, 34s, 35s, and 37s. A buddy has the ARB twin and that is really awesome too. I don't think you could go wrong with either.

Any slim compressors other that the dual ARB? I put an AFE center exit exhaust on my JL and have the area where the stock muffler used to be for an air compressor. The optimal height would be 3.5-4" to keep it above the frame rails.

I have arb dual compressor under my hood on my 2014 JK 4.8 cfm. I didnt feel like waiting for under hood mounts for JLU so I got a smitty built 5.6cfm compressor saved $350 on the compressor cost plus $100 for mount $450 less and I get more air then the ARB Dual.

i havent mounted my smity built yet, but we are maounting it behind rear driver side passenger seat on the slope, under roll bar

Does anyone make a Central Tire Inflation System for Jeeps like they have on Hummers?

this is the set up in the 07 JK. viair 450 constant duty with the 2.5 gallon tank. air chuck in the front bumper, does 35's 12lbs to 35lbs in about 5 minutes a tire. does not stop for overheating and runs air tools fairly well when the tanks full, it'll break loose the front hub bearing axle nut. i hand break wheel lug nuts, then use the air impact, takes too much air to break em loose with just the impact.

I went this route. Kinda pain to run the power wire but for me it’s the best place. I got it really hot the other day and it’s just fine. No issues with heat and gets fresh air. Obviously, I keep the cover open while in use. I aired up my neighbors Super Duty tires from 40 psi to 80. Took like maybe 8-10 minute for all 4. These things are super fast , but the downside is the expense.

Much better than under the hood. I had it under the hood of my JK and talk about heat soaking before even using it.

unfortunately in the 2 door ill have a speaker there. very clever, amazing what that space can hold. with only 4 doors at the lot, i was somehow convinced that i was going to lose the space in the side mount whether i got the alpine or not. so i ordered it having never seen that they put it in the cargo in a JK too on the 2 doors. sad that i lost that space.......secretly jazzed ill have bumping tunes!

I use the one that came with my train horns. Fills up a flat in a minute, and you can attach all sorts of goodies to it. Great for blowing dust off your clothes after work and filling balloons lol

This one is interesting but it looks like it pushes up the hard top by the thickness of the bracket material. Wouldn’t that make the hardtop not sit flat anymore?
