Air Compressors?

I use and like the ARB CKMP12 (12 volt). I like that it’s portable so I can throw in another rig, how the storage case has got just enough room in it for a basic tire puncture repair kit and still enough space for my portable jump start battery.

POST Update: I have recently pulled this ARB portable unit out of its box and mounted it under the hood and wired it to an AUX button. Im Happy with this new location...

I Have no video on the install, just the photos I posted. I had a friend fabricate a simple angled / powder coated plate that bolts onto the firewall that utilizes existing mounting points on the firewall. The other pieces for holding the quick connect are hardware store angle brackets. I’ve had no issues with the location or the compressor since installing in 2018 and it’s seen lots of use in wet coastal weather.

That's a good piece of information. I wondered about the longevity of a compressor under the hood, with all the engine heat.

I’ve run the Jeep in Death Valley, Utah, and in the Eastern Oregon deserts in hot weather on multiple day trips and engine heat has never been an issue on the compressor. I will note that the air hose I used to connect compressor to the quick disconnect is showing some light cracking signs and so I will be replacing it this winter. The hose was high temp rated but not sure of its original quality as at the time it was all that was available at the small town local hardware.

I found a photo of the bracket I used…. The longer piece is used as stabilizer but not certain that it’s actually necessary with the small single compressor. I bolted the ARB bracket that was in the original plastic ARB portable box to the fabricated bracket.
