Hey, hey, hey! It's not a silly piece of plastic! I took the ones off of both of my jeep a long time ago and started using them to feed my goats at one point. It's a very useful piece of plastic. But, now I'm wondering that if I clean them up, how much I can get for them.

What OP should have actually done was buy a 2.0l because they have always had an engine cover.

Mine went in the trash almost immediately lol. Threw away the covers on my 3.6 Jls as well. Tits on a bull... useless.
