Just picked up a 2026 Willy's. I thinking of adding an after market steel bumper - a lot of deer where I live - I was looking at the Barricade Trail Force HD Front Bumper from Extreme Terrain.
It weighs (as stated in the description) 79 lbs.
Would I get any sag up front?
I read somewhere that the stock Willy 2026 is steel under the plastic wrap (haven't gotten around to looking) too cold this week.
So if it has some girth to it I'm hoping I don't need to do anything in order not to loose the extra height the new Willys provides.
Any advice from someone with a similar set-up.
Thanks,
George

79 lbs up front usually won’t cause noticeable sag on a stock Willys, especially if you’re not adding a winch. Most people don’t see a drop until you’re closer to 120–150 lbs total.
You’re right that the Willys has a steel bumper under the plastic cover, so the net weight gain isn’t as big as it sounds. You should keep the factory rake and height just fine. If you later add a winch, that’s when spacers or heavier springs might be worth considering.

I put 600lbs of lead acid batteries in back to swap for new ones. Jeep dropped 1/4 inch.

not really it is a thin steel piece that weighs 3.97 lbs I did not weigh the intact bumper but it was not much. I cut mine up to throw it away. the thin 3.97lb is the only metal in the rear bumper.
