Hey, so my adaptive cruise seems is surging. It’ll be fine then the next engagement it will start gassing and letting off and continue to do this and slow well below the set speed. I’ve tried turning it off and waiting a bit, cleaning the windshield and sensors, different times of day… anybody have ideas what might be going on and how to fix it? Thanks for your help!

I have the ACC in my JT and have not experienced that. Do you have similar experiences with the standard cruise control? Is it only happening at highway speeds or even if you set it to 35 mph, 50 mph..?

I just started getting a similar issue. I've only been able to test at low speed ( < 60 kph (37 mph)). 2020 JLUR on 38s

Is it "seeing" another vehicle? The car icon pops up above the follow lines in the display.

Not from the small display... I haven't gone to the adaptive cruise larger page.

Does it do the same surging when using non-adaptive cruise?

I never had that, but any time someone got into a left turn lane, my Jeep would slam on brakes even though they were completely out of my lane... It was definitely annoying... I think they need to do some work to combine lane departure with Adaptive Cruise... My Toyota Venza only recognizes people in my lane, if they are out of my lane, they are ignored and my adaptive cruise works as if I was the only one on the road.

That's a defect. Take it to the dealer.

That's quite an "upgrade"! Sorry for your loss. ;)
A Wrangler for a Venza? What in the ???

That's more crazy than someone trading a Tesla for a Wrangler! Oh wait, I did that.

I'll be back to a Wrangler one day, but life's needs required a more efficient vehicle... Still have the wife's 2 Door Tuscadero Rubi though. :) 1 year old, only 6k miles...
