You have the box without that safety package? What year is yours? I ordered my 2021 and the only way to get auto high beams was to get the advanced safety package which also forced the basic safety package.
Standard on 2024 Sport S+ now. It's a 2024 Willys.

This thread is funny - I specifically wanted (and am addicted to) ACC but I *despise* the auto high-beams. They're too damn sensitive, feel like they're constantly turning off and on while I'm driving.

ACC, once you get used to its tolerances, is amazing.

I laugh at them, constant on/off, but it's nice to be lazy sometimes.

The ACC braking can be aggressive, but agrees - once you're used to the distances it's great. Even stays working with a manual and shifting. Had it go from 70 to 30 and back to 70 on the highway, and it'll stay running as you row the gears.

It'll go all the way down to 0, but if you rest at full stop too long, it'll show a warning and then disengage itself, which is ... not great.

I [thankfully] don't spend much time in stop-and-go traffic, but when I do get stuck, I tend to turn it off, mainly because the tolerances and minimum distance isn't great for that. It stays too far back (even at the lowest setting) and people just constantly butt in, at which point it slams on the brakes, etc.

But it's glorious for road trips.

I'm shopping for new Wrangler 4dr with v6 and AT, love the Willys package with 24W, but hate the box and the adaptive cruise control junk. Not a fan of any electronics crap, but the Willys/Rubicon front axle is much nicer than Sport etc.

Bought my Wrangler Willys and now looking to delete the huge field of view blocking ACC box, if successful, I'll replace the blacked out windshield with standard non-ACC glass! :)

Hopefully lawyers don't get involved if your Wrangler's ever involved in a significant accident. At least you're not publicly stating your intentions.

Oh wait, never mind.
