Accessory Gauges - Different After Over The Air Update

Hello,

In CO on holiday at the start of SEP, I had the factory software. Gauges worked well. About a week-ish ago, I saw that Jeep sent an update. I was not asked if I wanted it. Now, I have this for accessory gauges. Anyone else have the rest of the readings go away?

I lost control of the HVAC temperature after my update…same problem the Ram trucks were having in 2021 after an update. My gauges were OK.

I rebooted the system by pressing the volume and tuning knobs at the same time until the radio shut off…about 10-15 seconds. After the reboot, things started to get back to normal.

I have a 2024 with the UConnect 5 system. The procedure should be the same for the older models with UConnect 4.

That’s standard after an update. Nothing looks right and everything seems broken. Give it an hour/overnight and it all comes back.
Had the exact same screen after the most recent update and the Jeep just needs to “re-learn” what’s available on your particular model.

same thing happened with my 2024 lost HVAC control, did a reboot through the on screen options, and everything came back.

Thanks, it happened to me today. My Jeep (2024 UConnect 5) prompted me for an over-the-air software update, and I pressed OK. After the update, my temperature control/display was all messed up (see picture below.)

After I rebooted the system (with the instructions listed above,) it finally went back to normal.

After downloading the most recent update (late Sept 2024), my 2024 JL also suffered the two issues:
1) HVAC system uncontrollable, and
2) Off-Road pages no longer displaying ALL accessory gauges and only Trans Temp and Battery Voltage

I accomplished the "soft-reset", and this fixed the HVAC issues, yet I still do not have any change to the Off-Road accessory gauges.

Next step is going to be the battery disconnect. Has there been any luck for anyone getting the accessory gauges to display again?


***UPDATE***: The following morning after performing the "soft reset", the accessory gauges have reappeared.

It took several days of driving, but I have all gauges back. Odd thing....the new graphics from my picture in the first post went away and the graphics look like they did when I bought it new in June.

We drive laptops on wheels with lowest bidder IT development, crap UConnect software, and now "I'll take my time" updates. How long until we are shut down mid-drive by a glitch?

My simple JK with the green 3 line LCD radio....I kinda miss it.
