Hello everyone,
I have a 2019 Jeep Weangler Unlimited Sport 4wd, I recently installed a JL mini Tazer so I could get my aftermarket left turn signal to work properly and turns out that after the install the AC is not working. The AC and temp knob keep flashing yellow, no air coming out of the vents, I can hear clicking noise as well, as if is trying to turn on but it can’t. I also looked inside where the cabin air filter is and the motor there is working but seems to be turning on and off, like the vent keeps going up and down. I tried unmarrying the Tazer and still didn’t work. I reached out to the Tazer company but haven’t gotten an answer yet. I also wanted to add that I installed a start-x remote starter, that’s working fine, and it was installed before the Tazer. If this has happened to somebody or someone knows a fix for it, I will greatly appreciate the help, thank you.

Did you follow the full reboot and sleep cycle directions to the letter? That's critical (and challenging due to the way the whole thing is written).

Additionally, did you make sure it has the latest firmware?

I'm curious on why the remote starter? Do you not have the remote start keyfob (the brick)? I suggest pulling the negative battery cable, waiting 10 minutes, to do a full system reboot.

No mine doesn’t have a remote starter OM I bought the aftermarket and installed. But I do t think that’s the problem, I believe is the Tazer but I’ll do a full reboot, sleep cycles and I’ll disconnect the battery and see if that works.

I'm experiencing this identical issue on my 2020 JL Wrangler immediately after Tazer JL Mini install. Was your issue resolved somehow? I have a message sent to Z automotive but won't get a response for at least a day.

Latest instructions from Z-automotive was to unmarry, reboot, sleep cycle x2, and then disconnect the tazer and plug in the vehicles SGW (back to pre-tazer install) to see if a/c works when stock. It does. Tried a fresh install of the firmware for the tazer and then re-married (w/ the reboot/sleep cycle x2 process again) and the same problem reappears.

I've also tried the disconnect all power for 15 minutes as described above with no luck. I'm hoping z-automotive can get me straightened out, as I really like all the other features of the Tazer!

not sure why you would use a tazer to get a turn signal to work, and sort of sounds like AC is not related to tazer, more likely tail light. How old are the batteries? This sounds like battery gremlins.

I should clarify, My "identical" issue was less than identical. I don't have any turn signal issues. It is only with the blinking a/c control knobs, and the problem disappears when the tazer is unmarried/uninstalled. This would seem to indicate it is Without a doubt this is a tazer problem, no?

From your explanation, you still get the blinking after removing the Tazer completely if I understood your description. So, the presence of the Tazer isn't the issue going forward but the initial use of it may be.

Try cycling the Dual zone setting through Tazer
Check the connection to the rear defroster plug.
Check the associated fuses and any fuses related to the remote starter.
Gaining access to an OBD Scanner might show error codes.
Is it possible you may have damaged a sensor while under the hood while installing the remote starter?

I don't want to totally highjack the OP's thread, so I've started a new thread specific to my situation (no aftermarket remote starter) here.
