Not the same as it is missing the recessed circle for the MPP emblem in the thick vertical side.

So if I wasn’t able to get mine (Mopar) from a friend for 75.00, there is no way I would buy it for 600 plus, but then again, a single Mopar lugnut is 23.00 each lol. So I guess Mopar math works.

I installed this one from Extreme Terrain about a year ago. $80 and in stock. Wanted some additional reinforcement (33" factory spare) and a place to mount a homemade recovery board rack. It is a plain Jane compared to the Amazon one but that is no biggie IMO.

The jungle website on my side of the frozen line does not have the same vendor as you guys to the south, did order one that is 1/4 of the price. None of the one available to us have the badge recess, funny enough I can see the recess on the back plate but it if flush on the front plate. The extended tire holder do not have part number. The thing look solid, there is some casting leftover that I will clean up before installing. All in all the thing look it will be doing it job properly.

Just finished the install. It looks good imo, but we’ll see if it does anything. I’ve always been doubtful of the mopar one doing anything to limit tailgate flex, so we’ll see if it does anything for reinforcing it, but if it doesn’t then at least I didn’t waste $800 on the mopar one.

Well shit, color me surprised that a 10lb piece of aluminum helped.

I’ve been dealing with the tailgate shifting and clicking or rattling against the weather stripping, so I had fixed it with foam tape, but gotta add more, test drove it on the way to work, didn’t hear the normal clicking or noises from the back. It may not be AMAZINGLY sturdy, or adding an insane amount of rigidity but it does seem to help a bit.
