I was told by a dealer that if I were to order now it would be about 6 months until I get the Jeep, that seems way too long. Has anyone else heard a time frame for orders now? I am thinking they want to see in stock and discourage those that want to order.

That seems a bit long but I’m not sure. If they want their inventory gone they need to slash some prices. Hardly any deals right now. Ordering is still the better option when you can get 7% off invoice price from many different dealers.

Wait until all of this is over. Dealers will be slashing prices. People don't realize the fallout from all of this.
It’s gonna take a lot of willpower with the weather warming up, but yea it’s worth waiting to see what will happen.

And here lies the problem Especially with a lot being potentially unavailable this summer (baseball games, amusement parks, etc)... more time for jeep wheeling and camping.

Yep just boils down too if you can wait or not. I don’t see the plants opening back up for a while. My county in IN just had 4 more cases confirmed and our shelter in place order will not be lifted now on Friday there’s no way. This virus hasn’t let up yet

The only deals I am finding in Colorado are at invoice not below, which dealers are offering 7% below that would be worth an airline ticket and road trip back.

Koons is one in DC, but they have a little higher doc fees. Tricity Jeep in NC gives 7% off also. There are a few more but those 2 stick out to me.

The only deal recently seems like the 0% for someone who finances. The deals now are no better then what I got back in Feb of 2019 for my '19 JLR. The 2020s are actually more because FCA raised the prices for inflation from 2019 to 2020. I got 7% under invoice at the beginning of the '19 model year. My deal was no-trade, cash, 7%-under invoice including destination, $200 doc, nothing else. It was 13% off the msrp.

Dealers don't have any idea of when deliveries will happen because the factories are closed. 6 months out would probably be a new model year, a 2021. FCA will probably rise prices again for inflation.

I understand waiting for a better deal. Just remember the longer you wait the more depreciation there is. Take that into consideration.

Ohio is ready to allow car production to begin and Michigan is close. UAW is the main stopping point now but they did put out an "all call" today to Toledo Jeep employees. Inventory figures for April should be out next week, see how many are in stock and if Jeep is ready to incent dealers to start dealing them as new ones roll out. If the UAW doesn't stop it and if they can get all suppliers up and running they may open in next couple of weeks with delivery starting end of May (union us pushing for no more than 50% production speed). But the way a lot of people (humans are famous for short term memory) are ignoring guidelines the second wave may come before fall and shut production down again. Or they decide to switch over to 2021 this summer.

I couldn't wait. I ordered 3-23 and after a month and finding almost exactly what I ordered on a lot, I took it home.
Didn't get a deal, but I got the diesel and Sarge Green!
I am searching everywhere but finding a Sarge Green Willys or Rubicon 2 dr with what I want isn’t going well.
