I would say Jeep will fulfil the 2020 sold orders 1st then go into the 2021 instead of building inventory of the previous model . Working for GM I know their in talks with the suppliers so they can get up and running asap and I'm sure FCA and Ford are too !
Does anyone know when Jeep would open up orders for 2021 model year? Is it worth us all waiting at this point?

I originally ordered my EcoDiesel back in December 2019 (Gilroy, CA), but the dam dealer filed bankruptcy in March. I wasted a few months waiting for my order, and found no other deals in California. All the available EcoDiesel dealerships had on the lot did not have the options I wanted. They were also marked up above sticker or selling for no less than MSRP. I also searched nation wide for one on the lot and spoken to over a dozen. Most dealerships told me orders were 6 months out and tried to sell me a different color they had on the lot.

I finally found a dealer in Utah that gave me 7% off invoice and got my Vin# 3 days after I placed my order (March 20th). Arrival date for delivery was April 22nd.
Of coarse due to the manufacturing closing my date is still pending and I will get a confirmation when the new delivery date will be. At this point of time i would expect late June for delivery and I’m no longer in a rush. At least I’ll get all the options I’m looking for. In my opinion it’s best to order what your looking for unless your ok with settling with anything, and paying $3kto $5k more that you could of put towards aftermarket parts.

I highly recommend contacting Kent from Pearson Dodge/ Chrysler who has great service and price. Mention my name Vince (Sting Gray EcoDiesel) and he’ll take good care of you. (208) 741-1289
Do you have Kent’s email address? Also what part of Utah, I am in Colorado so its not that far/

Thanks.. It took them longer to get me my VIN but I received it the other day. Any idea on a delivery time frame for yours? Is yours a 3.6? If so, I would think we would get ours around the same time. I ordered mine on 4/28. JLUR in Sting Gray.

Mine is a 3.6L Manual. I inquired with FCA after I received my VIN and I was told that all materials for my build were on hand and ready and that my build would start once the factory resumed operations. I was surprised by this considering how many options I had selected. I am just hoping this means that the factory is in good standing and ready to go.

So it appears we went with most of the same options.. Not only that, but it appears we went with the same dealer! The handwriting is the same. Check this out..

Its expensive, its $500 more than my home state, but with nearly $8,000 off of sticker and working with an experienced no bullshit salesmen the $500 is worth it for a great deal and a no stress Jeep buying experience.

My quote from Koons. After tax title and license and all the fees and destination I would have ended up right back at MSRP.

The doc fees in my state are close to 350 so the doc fee is 450 more at Koons.. Mine will come to 8.5% below invoice with being an emergency responder and a member of tread lightly. That’s still very hard to beat even with the higher doc fee. The difference of 500 is not even 1% but for conversation sake I’m still getting it for 7.5% below invoice. That’s going to be hard to come by anywhere!

1,863 orders to be exact, very interesting. I wonder if ours will share the same truck/delivery week, especially going to the same dealer. If the factory follows sequential order on assembly then they'll have worked out all the kinks by the time your Jeep comes up... Mine will be the one with no frame welds :CWL:.

What area are you from/coming from to get the Jeep? Are you planning to drive there the day its delivered or are you waiting for a weekend?

:lipssealed: .. No welds.. I thought I was the only one with luck like that!
I’ll be coming from the Philadelphia suburbs. I plan on renting a car from Enterprise to drive down. The last time I priced them it was $27 for the day with unlimited miles to rent a car. Someone from enterprise would pick it up from there.
I’m not sure yet if I’ll be driving down the day it’s delivered or not. It depends on what day it falls on. I’m also trying to coordinate selling my current vehicle before I buy the JL. How about you?

When I ordered mine other similar ones ordered after mine were built and delivered. The sequencing system for the factory is one of the greatest mysteries of life.
