So I’ve had my doors off all summer. I usually am in golf cart mode which is doors off/roof on.
We get a bad storm the night of 7/3, I go out to my car yesterday morning and my passenger side has 2 inches of water in the footwells. I pulled the drains, start the car, and a message pops up that there’s a problem with the hybrid drivetrain. I’m like oh great they are never going to be able to repair this. My car would automatically go into park every time I slowed down to 2 mph. It was incredibly annoying.
So I ended up going to a 4th of july party. Hot and sunny all day long. My car is parked in street, again with the doors off. Then all of sudden this massive storm hits. The worst storm I’ve ever experienced in my life. We get 5 inches of water in an hour, and for about 60 seconds I’m guessing winds were over 100mph. Trees dropping everywhere.
Here’s a picture I took of an interesting cloud at 5pm, which I guess was the mother of all storms forming.
The 2nd picture was at 7pm. The jeep is right off to the side.
Well I go check the jeep out, now the driver side has 3 inches of water, interior looks like it was driven underwater. And somehow the I no longer have a service warning.
So whatever caused the problem, the tornado fixed it.
