Not as much warmth compared to the 2018 Sahara I had. I like it HOT, and it doesn’t seem to have much.

Anybody else notice this? Is there any mods to make it stronger?

Hmm....Havent thought to try it out on mine. I will tomorrow. Perhaps its something to do with ambient temperature? A friend with an 19 or 20 (I forget) JLU Sahara said the Jeep will adjust the cabin temp accordingly when you use remote start. Maybe the Jeep thinks its too warm to use "full power" on the steering wheel? Or am I over thinking this?

I noticed the same thing. My wife’s 2021 gets hot quick and my 2019 I traded is also was very quick and hot. The 4xe….. not so much.

On my 2019 JLUR my steering wheel temp seems to fluctuate wildly. Sometimes it's not warm enough and others it's super hot. How many times have you noticed it not being very warm?

My 2021 Diesel is the same. I can't figure out if its my head or related to climate settings or....?

Is there a difference running full electric vs engine only?

could be a lot of reasons for this.. maybe it's programmed not to waste energy heating when the self driving feature is in use, or maybe there's a sensor built in that can tell if someone's wearing gloves. But probably it's just the blue stitching...

Anyhow, you know I'll experience this on a cold winter day after, hands wet and frozen, thinking damn, shouldn't been sarcastic..

Could it just be that its 100 degrees outside, so the delta isn't as much as when it is cold outside, so it doesn't feel as warm?

Same issue on my 2021 Sahara (non-4xe). Nowhere near as hot as my 2020 Sahara or my Dodge.

From my own testing this weekend with my 4xe and temperatures outside in my area fluctuating from low 20’s to the low 60’s, I found…

If the outside temp is below 40 and the heated steering wheel and seat come on automatically, it gets so hot I have to turn it off after about 90 seconds.

If the outside temp is above 40 and I manually turn on the steering wheel, it gets just warm but comfortable.

There must be something about the outside temp that regulates the heat applied.

I don’t think it has anything to do with the 4xe. In my experience, there’s a wide variation in the steering wheel temps. My 2018 got hot as hell. My 2021 (3.6 eTorque) barely gets warm.
