I am interested in seeing what is going on with the 2027. I know the order guides are out there somewhere. Can someone with the info please post it so those of us interested can make our plans. I am interested in either the Moab 392 or the Willy's 392. I had a Moab ordered but after a week it was canceled without much explanation. I have now switched to getting a 2027.

How do you ‘know’ the guides are out there?

I don’t think they are published until the MY change is official.

Dirt Road Cred from YouTube showed the first 12 pages or so but not the pages that contained the 392 models. I know of a dealership that has them but did not offer to let me see them. They get them early and keep a good grip on them until they are authorized to release them. I was just hoping that someone had better luck than me in getting an early look.

Are you talking about this DRC video?:

Well, it shows some order guide pages, but not close up and the info is blurry, even when I zoom in, so it's as if they weren't published at all. I clicked on the links in the video's description and still no order guides.

Are there some clearer ones I missed?

With two more model years left until JL rides off into the sunset, I would be shocked to see any changes for '27 other than 1 or 2 recycled colors.

Yes, that's what I was referring to. Obviously, he is doing that on purpose to protect all the info, but it does offer proof that they are out there. We just need someone to post it in full. Let's hope someone comes forward.

Gotcha, yes that would be nice to see them right now especially for me because I'm teetering on the fence whether to buy a '26 or '27 - not because I'm in some FOMO Syndrome, but because I may not get my, already decided, exact color I want if I make the wrong decision and then I'll feel screwed.

Which is exactly why you can’t see them until the bitter end. … they don’t want to diminish current sales…. There’s a name I don’t recall for this marketing tactic.

The name escapes me too, but the gist is......"string the customer along then hang him with it". :swear:

I'm thinking it's called avoiding the Osborne effect. Yeah, I looked it up.

The Osborne effect occurs when a company announces a future product too early, causing customers to postpone buying the current product because they expect the upcoming version to be better. This can hurt current sales and revenue. The term comes from Osborne Computer Corporation, which famously announced its next-generation computer before it was available and saw sales of its existing model collapse.

As expected nothing really changed. We're too close to the end of JL's lifespan for them to sink money into this platform.
