As far as parts ordering is concerned, am I correct that I should order parts specific to the Sahara/Rubicon plastic bumpers??? See pic of my bumper below:
Look at the title of the thread, then look at what you wrote. It's understandable that some of us misinterpreted what you were looking for, especially since I'm not sure that I've ever heard of someone wanting to actually keep their plastic bumper (?!?!) and build on it.Reading comprehension would lead one to believe that I was asking to specific parts to fit my bumperSuch as fog lamp bracket mounts for example

Replacing is the way to goSwapped my Willys plastic bumper out right away to add lights. Looks a lot better with metal.

Damaging the rear is how I wound up with new ones, front and back. I figured I might as well get them both.Nice looking replacement!
X35, if you don't go aftermarket, I can say I'm very happy with the Rubi steel bumper and you may like it as well.
We opted to have it added at the dealership before we took possession of the Willys.
I haven't taken the end caps off yet, but the option to do so makes it pretty versatile and removing them will lighten the front end.
It has a nice space to sink in a winch and looks pretty good IMO.
There was an aluminum bumper made by Rival that I was looking at for our last Wrangler, but we turned it back in after the lease so we never bought the bumper.
Our rear bumper is still the plastic one and at this point we are keeping it until it gets damaged, if that day ever comes.
ditto on the rear bumper.Nice looking replacement!

I've read more than a few posts discussing the OEM, steel, rear bumper. It sounds like if it gets hung up on rocks it can push into the body a cause a lot of damage.Damaging the rear is how I wound up with new ones, front and back. I figured I might as well get them both.
