I just purchased a warn elite stubby front bumper to replace my oem plastic one, but noticed that it doesn't have holes for the factory led fog lights mine came with. I wanted to keep these, anyway I can still utilize them or do I just have to get some different fog lights and mount them on top of the grille guard? I haven't seen many pictures of this setup, also if I go this route I can still wire those new lights to the factory foglight button inside right?

picture below is how the front bumper looks (not mine)

That’s because the full width version has the fog lights on the wings which are absent from the stubby.

Yea I noticed that the full width one has the fog lights but for my build I want to have the stubby bumper, so I wonder if I should just return the bumper and get a new one that lets me have the best of both worlds or just simply getting some fog lights mounted on the grill guard instead

That’s a bit like asking what color jeep to buy or what kind of oil to use.

But since you are asking for opinions…

Return that bumper since it isn’t what you really want and every time you look at it you will think about it.

It is worth noting that the full width version that I posted says

  • Clears 37 Inch Tires With Only A 2 Inch Lift And Factory Wheel Offset

I wonder if it would be possible to use those 2 holes on the sides of the fairlead to still use my fog lights using an adapter bracket or a little diy. I'm not a big fan of the full width. Also if I were to get some pod lights mounted on top of the hoop I don't think that would be road legal anymore which is another thing I have to think about now lol.

Anything is possible with enough time money and effort.

I wouldn’t do it. I would get a bumper more to your liking like maybe something from LOD

Those holes in that bumper are fairly small and are made for a hi lift jack.

With so many stubby or mid width front bumpers, why would you buy a bumper knowing it wont fit the factory fog lights if that is one of your requirements?

The factory LED fog lights are unremarkable. I found myself in a similar situation when my factory LED fogs wouldn't fit the bumper I chose.

I bought Diode Dymanics SS3 lights to replace them. They make a massive difference over how well they light the side of the road. If you live in a rural area, lights like that are a must.

You could always get a hole saw and turn those square holes into round holes.
