18 JLU Plastic Front Bumper

Well the more i look at the nose of our Jeep the more I think the plastic "pan" looks like a toddler with a sagging full diaper.

What can I do to eliminate the full diaper look? We are keeping the bumper as I have already spent money for a baseplate to install in order to hook it up to our camper so going to an aftermarket steel bumper is not in the cards.

look into an aftermarket or mopar steel skid plate from a rubicon and ditch the plastic one.

I run the plastic bumper with a winch plate and the steel skid.

I’ll eventually be going with the rubicon steel bumper and adding the Warn grille guard or stinger grille guard.

I trimmed the flared pieces by the bumper ends and bolted on the Quadratec swaybar skid. It's aluminum so not much of a weight penalty compared to the plastic junk. It also comes in black if you prefer a stealth look.

Well …. After looking at some install pictures for the towing baseplate, I think I am stuck with the plastic cover because of how I need to mount baseplate onto the Jeep
