I am seeing steep discounts on 2025's but I was wondering if I should order 2026 (I can wait no urgency as such)
Is 2026 going to be better in terms of cabin noise? And I heard it is made better for steering control? Any official news on any of these?
I was waiting for 4xe with improved powertrain but I have been hearing from dealers that they are not making it this year! Which making me to go back to gas models!
I have a 2018 Wrangler so been out of touch of things for a while :) Any help is appreciated.

Wait if you want but the 2025 is quite nice. I wouldn't pay more for some tiny promised incremental improvements.

I traded my 2018 JL Sahara on a 2025 Sahara and I have noticed a number of improvements in the 25 over the 18.

Ride quality is better. The 25 has the headliner so sound deadening is better. The HVAC maintains heat and cooling better than the 18. Cranking on start is much faster than the 18. Finally, the fit and finish of the 25 is noticeably better.

I’m happier with the 25.

OP, for whatever reason, seems to think that there will be significant improvements in the '26 over the '25. They're not comparing the '25 to previous years.

Yes, but he also asked about the 25.
Since the 26 isn’t out yet, I was giving my impression of the 25 vs the 18.

BTW - the technology in the 25 is way better than the 18. Wireless CarPlay works flawlessly, tho I wish they had included wireless charging as well.

[EDITED] I took the time to do a full comparison of two similar willys windows sticker 2025 vs 2026. Price jike is 2k$ Canadian but with no incentives. At the moment, 2025 do have like a 10% off from the MSRP.

I am in the same situation as you. To go 2025 or wait for 2026. On my side, the 2025 local inventory is quite limited and prices are still high, 10% from MSRP at best. One dealer is showing 2026 coming (with no photos) and for a Willys, it's 2k$ more for the 2026 (Canadian dollar).

The sad part, a base Porsche Macan 2026 is cheaper! I know they are different beasts but our beloved Wrangler are getting quite expensive.

Personally, I'd go 2025. Price will keep going up and if your local rebates are good, I'd jump on it.

Another interesting thing I saw today while looking at accessories, here is a screenshot from the Canadian Mopar site, no 4xe in 2026.

Unless there is a new color coming out that you specically want, I would jump on a '25 as it will be much cheaper for relatively the same thing. If you looking for the electric Hybrid thing, '26 will not have it apparently so again '25.

Go for the best deal available. If there is not a major redesign or change like JK transmission vs JL transmission offered years ago(JL trans that is better in every way vs JK) then why wait if good purchase price available now.

Is the 4xe no longer after this year? That would surprise me, it’s one of the best selling hybrids.

Thanks every one for your detailed comparison - for some reason I never received notification for any of your responses. I really appreciate your information. If no 26 4xe, and no major improvements other than price increase to 26! I will see if I can strike a deal on 25. I was in for a shock too when they said no 4xe for 2026! That's a big bummer and it was promised to have improved performance compared to current :(

Are you sure no 4xe for all of 26 or just not at launch due to unknown reasons ? It doesn’t make sense…. Who was “they” that told you, dealers ?

no more rebates for them. the lots of full of them right now. apparently Stella doesnt feel confident that they will sell without that massive incentive. $7500 federal and whatever state was adding on top. when we bought our plug in Pacifica it was like $10k in rebates from federal and CA. neither are offering anything any more. and we mainly bought it for the carpool lane access, which is also now over (as of a few weeks ago!).

they were scrambling to move them before the rebate ended. now that it has, and the epa requirements have been relaxed a bit, they have no reason to keep making them. especially if they were having lots of warranty issues. at least thats what makes sense to me. i guess we'll see...
