2024+ Grille Upgrade on a Sting-Gray

Hello everyone!

I recently did a grille upgrade on my JL '21 Sport+. I own a Sting-gray, and it was really hard for me to search for the exact color to paint the grille.

I did some research and saw some posts on this form, but none actually confirmed the correct color. I found a product on Amazon, that actually has the color code that matches the factory one.

Here's the color code: #2c2823
Product name: ScratchesHappen

The color matches really well with the factory one. Here are the results:

The grille costs around $110. I'm posting this to help out with the people who want to upgrade their front grille, and to the Sting-gray gang as well to find the perfect color match!

Also upgraded the LED Fender lights, but that's another topic.

I kinda like it. The color match is a big deal for sure, though Im not sure Id want to replace the Willys grille.

I heard good things about Scratches Happen but haven't tried it yet. Touchup Direct matches perfectly in Sting Grey. I've been considering a grille swap myself. I hated it at first, but the new style has really grown on me in the past few months. Like BrotherGood said, the Willys grille is hard to walk away from though.

I wanted to keep the old grille as well, but the new one is just refreshing. Took me a year to finally pull the trigger.

I really want to upgrade to LED, but damn the OEM ones are expensive! Looking for an aftermarket ones that don't blind other drivers.

I got a 2024 Anvil grille for my 2021 Sting Gray. My plan is to put Anvil decals on the hood to match the Anvil grille. I'll post pics once the decals arrive from @pixeldecals

Question as switching grills are also new to me. I to have a 2021 jeep sting grey rubicon. Instead of going through the whole paining thing can you not just buy a newer grill that comes in sting grey?

You can't, since Sting-gray is no longer available on the 2024+ models.

Yes you can order a grill painted sting grey. You can order through distinction applied. Who has 2 options one a factory replacement grill that they paint or a aftermarket grill they paint. Or you can go with yotto overland. There grills are a little bit cheaper the distinction applied but they use aftermarket grills. With either you can further customize the grill for different pieces to be painted different colors.

I thought he was asking for a used OEM one. Either way, I checked those and the price is too high for what you're getting. I paid around $200 for the grille + paint.

That’s fair there prices are on the higher side, but not everyone has the ability or space to be able to paint there own.
Another option is just to buy the grill either factory direct or aftermarket and taking it to a body shop to paint.

That's a great price! I got mine from a 2023 392 Special Edition, I had to change out the camera insert with a regular one...

where did you buy the regular insert from? And how much if you don’t mind me asking? I have someone selling me a 24+ grille but it has the front camera insert so I’m curious on the approach you took.

I got it from AllMoparParts.com, part # 7HQ98RXFAA. It doesn't appear be on their site but I found it on Bam Wholesalers for about the same$.
There are videos on how to change them but it's a little involved. I'll keep looking to see if I can find it. It was approx. $75 w/shipping.
