So we’ve been told that all 2024 rubicons will come with the full-floating rear axle. I also understand that only the non-extreme-35 package rubicons will have the 5000 lb towing capacity (TFL video for 2024 Wrangler mentions it).

Nothing I seem to find indicates that the 392 will have the increased towing capacity, possibly because they have 35’s by default.

Does anyone have access to the 2024 towing capacity chart and can verify the towing capacity for the 392?

Where did you read that only non Xtreme will get 5000 lbs tow rating?

Saw that on TFL talking trucks. Guy said he talked to Jeep personnel and that is what they said.

That’s where I saw it too.

Also, if you download the ‘24 wrangler owners manual, there aren’t any wrangler configurations that have more than 3,500 lb towing capacity.

I have the same question, I just read an article this morning and it said that the 2024's with the V6, and I4 will have a towing capacity of 5000 pounds, with no mention of the 392's towing capacity...

Hey all,
It is confirmed that the 2.0 & the 3.6 get the towing upgrade to 5000 lbs.
The 392 does not. It gets the new HD axle, but not the upgraded towing capacity because of engine weight and heat displacement.

Dam, now I'm even more confused, because the article said 5,000 for the 3.6, and 2.0...
Yes me as well, I'm guessing they didn't update the ratings and we will see a Rev. or supplement to this.

I would agree that it's not been updated.
It was confirmed by the great Jeep guy on Facebook and the web page for the 2024 Jeep says it as well.
It also has a footnote that says on select models, when properly equipped.

The Motortrend review I read today also said 2.0 and 3.6 Rubicon only...

https://www.motortrend.com/reviews/...rz:06302023:2024-jeep-:article:print:owcst:mt

p11: "Only two configurations offer the 5,000-pound capacity: the Wrangler Rubicon with the 3.6-liter V-6 and 850RE 8-speed automatic, and the Rubicon with the 2.0-liter turbocharged I-4 paired with the 850RE 8-speed automatic. Both configurations require opting for 4.10 axle gears."
