Seeing the people complaining about being in production for “too long” on the Order Check In thread is killing me, as I sit with a 2 door in D status since July….

Did you get bumped from a 2022?

✋??

Maybe all this waiting would go down easier with the blues....

"Wrangler Waitin' Blues"

(DA da-da-da DUH!)
Woke up this morning...
(DA da-da-da DUH!)
Rolled out of the bed...
(DA da-da-da DUH!)
Dreams of that new Jeep, baby...
Still wheelin' through my head.

And it's been so long...
It's been so long since I've heard some news...
But I'm stuck down here in Order Confirmed...
Hoping to cure my Wrangler waitin' blues.

(DA da-da-da DUH!)
Stumbled to my computer...
(DA da-da-da DUH!)
Typed in my VON...
(DA da-da-da DUH!)
But all I got was that pizza tracker...
Shining me on.

And it's been so hard...
It's been so hard not hearing any news...
But I can't quit that damn tracker, baby...
I need to cure my Wrangler waitin' blues.

(DA da-da-da DUH!)
Now my woman's gone and left me...
(DA da-da-da DUH!)
Said she had to go...
(DA da-da-da DUH!)
Now I see ridin’ with another man...
Drivin’ a Ford Bronco.

And it's been so tough...
Tough sittin’ here without any news...
I just keep reloading that pizza tracker
When will this cure my Wrangler waitin' blues???

You know, this waiting is starting to make my mind wander into the "maybe I should just cancel my order and forget about this" zone along with the "maybe this is a sign I shouldn't be buying right now".

With the little "deposit" (my dealer took a whole $5 to place the order, no really just $5) for my order, I risk only alienating my dealer for any future business if I just give up right now ?

To cancel, or to not cancel...that is the question ?

Well, only being out $5 would certainly make it easier to walk away and I'm guessing your dealer wouldn't be too put out given the circumstances. I guess it comes down to how much you want the jeep you've ordered and whether you can continue to wait. For all of my bitching, I'm okay driving the Renegade for now. It's been fine for six years and seems like it should be fine for a few more months. Meanwhile I keep telling myself that I'll be better once I see D1 and have a little more assurance that it's going to get built at some point.

I'm just sitting back here thinking I'll be amazed if I see a build date that is for this year.....

I didn’t - I’m a late July order and I know there are many who are even earlier than I without progress. It isn’t outside my expectations for build time yet. I just need to not look at the other thread where people whose “grass is greener” are complaining and I’ll be totally content, haha

I know there are a lot of 2 doors in this thread waiting to be scheduled, any updates from y'all? I see a lot just got on 9/20.

@PandaJL - I'm most curious about you since our builds are so similar!

D1 isn't all it's cracked up to be. I used to be D1, then one day my dealer told me I had "regressed" back to D. False hope. "Estimated Ship Date" went from 9/30 to 10/8.

Ah... but you still have an "Estimated Ship Date"... I got nuttin'... :)

At this point, I think I'd almost prefer they just lie to me and assign an arbitrary date. Just throw a dart at a calendar and tell me whatever day it lands on, that's the day I'm scheduled to be built. We all know it's subject to change as has been demonstrated repeatedly around here. But at least it would be something instead of nothing.
