2023 Waiting/Venting Room

D1 isn't all it's cracked up to be. I used to be D1, then one day my dealer told me I had "regressed" back to D. False hope. "Estimated Ship Date" went from 9/30 to 10/8.

Same happened to me. My build date was 9/16 and has not been updated to a new date yet

37 days in D1... no matter how many major updates, I'm still not one of them... 4 dr. Willys Sport. Dealer said mid-October arrival date... and that's the WORST CASE. Can't see how when it's 9/21 and I'm not even in production.

Me too jjust got word I went from D1 to D but I have a VIN
Two doors seem to be forgotten in the order line. I am getting close to giving it all up and losing the deposit,,and just try to manage with my 2020 unlimited.... Wanted 2-door because I am alone, just me and the dog and with terrible knee arthritis and the Jeep has a 3" lift so maybe rather than hope for the 2-door I should invest in a really nice stepladder lol

Nope... I've gotten no dates... not even from the dealer. My guy just said that worst case is mid-October arrival. It's really just me being impatient... it's not like I don't have a vehicle to drive... just more excitement and wanting it because I've wanted a wrangler since I started driving.... I won't say how many years ago lol

I'm kind of hoping mine isn't shipped until right around Christmas. If I don't pick it up before December 31st, and I sell my '18 before December 31st, I don't have to pay personal property taxes on either one next year.

Hmm. Yeah, without a build date you might actually be stuck with some of us in the dreaded "D" zone where we are Order Confirmed ("C") and have a VIN ("D") but that's all.

I don't know that there isn't a build date... they're just not giving it to me, which I can understand. I'm sure the dealership doesn't want to be giving dates and then getting cussed out when those dates come and go... not their fault. It is what it is, I guess. I'm just hoping I'm one of the mystery cases that never gets updated on the tracker but gets a call their Jeep is here lol

Could be. And you're right that sometimes the trackers don't keep up and suddenly an order goes from D1 to built...

I certainly hope so... because how am I getting it in less than a month? I know someone is from CT on the other forum and he got a ship date of 9/23 so fingers crossed maybe they're on the same train/truck ?‍

I've tried not to drive myself crazy ever since my sales guy updated me with a "it's looking like we'll see it by the end of the month" message last week...

He should've pulled a Scotty from Star Trek and said "I canna tell ye when it may be ready captain, maybe end of NEXT month!"

edit: Oh yeah, forgot to mention that I'm still stuck at D1. Now at 30 days and counting ?

73 days since confirmed. All I got is a VIN since.
impatiently waiting some kind of an update, any kind of an update.

Seems we are a BIG family sitting in C with a VIN.. Doesn't give me a warm fuzzy feeling
