Both Jeep Tracker and Cryptostickers indicate my Window Sticker is available, but it's not showing up via the getWindowSticker.pdf site. #GettingAnxious...

Called my dealer yesterday for a status check. My Willys left the factory on the 26th and is in the Body Vendor for upgrades/accessories. There is a "paper hanging" on the mirror, evidently meaning it's awaiting parts.

Arrghh. So close.

It's still looking like a June delivery. I asked Kent (@12psi) to let me know as soon as possible so I can take advantage of lower airfare if I can schedule 3~4 weeks out. We'll see...

I've tried to pace myself. But I'm (apparently) a terribly impatient person. Now I've starting to think about things like lifts and bigger tires and bull bars and other things which I have no business doing! I've barely worked on any vehicles. I've never gone off-roading. I need to slow down and wait until I drive my Jeep ... or even see it ... before I start trying to change it!
I know plenty of solutions to problems I don't even know if my Jeep will have! (fender gaps, defroster distribution, lack of storage space)
I also know there are many things I could (and should) learn while I wait. (Even some non-Jeep things. Gasp!) I do not need to start pricing winches. I should not plan a trip to the mountains or a desert.

My extreme sympathy to everyone still waiting!

So, there's a baseball field I visit quite often. For maybe the last year or two, it has had a smallish "big ole' pile of dirt" in the gravel parking lot. Whenever I would park my two-wheel-drive scrape-the-bumper-on-parking-lot-exits vehicle, I would daydream about how cool it would be to pull in with my Wrangler and park with just one of the front tires partially up that dirt pile.
I probably wouldn't have really done it. I knew the pile was sturdy enough for me to climb it, and one time I found a piece of a broken bottle in it. That's all I knew about the stability and content of the pile. I would have felt EXTREMELY stupid if I had gotten stuck in it. So I probably would not have attempted to climb the small hill with my new Jeep. But ... I still thought about it.
This past week, I pulled into the lot and saw the dirt pile had been flattened.
Much bigger problems in the world than not having an ? expensive vehicle. Lots of people have waited and are waiting way longer than me. There will be much bigger and better adventures than Captain Morganing some questionable rocky soil. But ... a daydream died. So I guess this is my tribute post to the end of that fantasy.

This similar to the reason i had decided to buy a wrangler, After wrecking my Miata i was looking for a replacement thinking it was totalled. So new vehicle had to be a convertibale and living in michigan 4x4 started looking at the wrangler. Went to this dealership and they had a 8' tall pile of snow with a green tjr on top of it flexed out. Instantly fell in love with them just took me 19 years to finally purchase one.

We're making progress. Per @12psi the "paper hanging" is complete and the Willys is on its way to/at the Belvidere plant (?) for the body vendor. No change in any of the trackers and anticipated delivery is still 6/13, but things are happening.

Here's to hoping for a quick turn around to shipment and early delivery to Nampa, ID.

I've been buying so many little things I'm sure the SO's going to catch on. There is only so much I can hide in the garage! I'm using a spreadsheet to keep up with the list of purchased, costs, and the things I still want...

Addiction? What addiction? I can quit anytime I want.

I also have the spreadsheet and hiding places. There's a pair of tube doors (in bubble wrap) under our couch right now! :CWL:

I know this is border-line heretical, but even after having multiple cars with sun/moon roofs since the-mid 80's we will likely rarely, if ever, take the top or doors off. She who must be obeyed has fair skin and does not like wind messing up her carefully coiffured hair. After 37 years of marriage, I would like her to keep me on a bit longer. ;)

Just hang them in a doorway and tell your wife they're just really sturdy baby gates...

That's the great thing about Wranglers. Tops on, tops off, soft top, hard top, rock crawler, pavement princess, everything in between and many things beyond. Still Wranglers, still awesome.

I bought a Jeep so my wife wouldn't ride with me when I had the top and doors off because she hated her hair getting messed up......she then decided to start getting her hair braided ??‍♂

The wait continues, but seems to be closer! The Jeep Tracker notified me about an hour ago my Willys XR's estimated delivery day has moved from June 13th to the 1st. I'll take those 12 days, thank you.

The down side is with a lot of the dealer discounts, I'm not saving that much as I might have. But, it's still *my* order and I am not settling for something on the lot.

If it's accurate and is delivered on time it will make 5 1/2 months from ordering.
