To be fair, the Xtreme Recon Package includes more than tires, wheels and gears. Upgraded suspension, brakes, axle/axles, etc. Whether everything is worth the price is a valid question.Yep Go2hale mentioned that. After looking at the window sticker they didnt discount adding the 4.88 gears on top of the 4.56 included in the package. So basically that's 4890 for 35's, mopar wheels and 4.88 gears. You could've paid less without the xtreme recon package and done it after the fact
They are still making 2023s, just not letting anyone custom order more. As long as your dealer filed the order (however it's done) I think you have a place in lineI just placed my order for a 2023 on Tuesday. Haven’t received anything from Jeep, though my salesperson confirmed he placed the order on Tuesday night. What do we think? Am I hosed due the 2024 announcement? Should I have received something from Jeep already, or is it too soon?
(Asking here before I annoy my salesperson with yet another email)
Depends what is ordered.....on the 392 you get the upgraded brakes, axle, and suspension. So there it really is just about tires and gearing (optional). To be fair, the Xtreme Recon Package includes more than tires, wheels and gears. Its pretty quick too with the 35sIt was kind of an accident, wanted a punk’n XR but it wasn’t available back then and wasn’t sure how long the color was going to be available. I originally ordered a regular Rubicon with 4.88s thinking I would just have a lift and 37’s ready to go when it showed up. About a week later XR becomes available again of course. I called @RobTrachtman and asked if we could add the XR package. I thought XR would remove 4.88’s like the online builder does, but when it showed up on the Jeep tracker it had both.

I have been so confused. Since you show as being in Alabama, I originally thought "LA" was "Lower Alabama" and figured you meant a Mobile delivery. (I lived in the FL panhandle once upon a time and there is such an area!). Then, when you were talking about a road trip to pick it up in LA I started thinking "Ah, Los Angeles." Now, I think I finally broke the code - LA = Louisiana. Ha!Hello, again, waiting friends. I heard from my dealer yesterday and my Jeep is on the train to LA, expected to arrive at the rail yard on Monday. Then from there it’s a truck ride to get to the lot. We ended up canceling our trip to Baton Rouge because of my stepmom’s funeral (which was yesterday afternoon) so no combining of the trips and it won’t make it in time for my son’s birthday. But not much longer!
My husband is having shoulder surgery next Friday so even if it makes it to the dealer next week I’m probably going to have to wait at least a couple more weeks to pick it up. I have a sneaking suspicion it’s going to be ready on March 30, which would have been my stepmom’s birthday. But if that’s the case I may just have them deliver to my stepsister’s house in NOLA instead of going all the way to Lake Charles and we can have a party to celebrate her.
