I think you both should ask your dealer's GMs about how dealer allocation works. I think you'll find the conversation interesting if the GM will be honest with you about it...
Hell no....I have better things to do with my life than to investigate an exact reason why my order has taken over 6 months ago and is pretty far from being delivered. I'll simply vote with my wallet and will never order another Wrangler again. Something is really wrong with the way Jeep handles these and the reason is not really important. It's not a general Stellantis/FCA issue either. It took Dodge less than 4 months from the day of the order to hand build my 1 of 1 Viper (with custom paint scheme). My buddy ordered and took delivery of a TRX in less than 4 months at the height of the pandemic in 2021. Another person ordered a Challenger Hellcat Redeye in early 2022 and got it within a few months. List goes on.

Diligently, but patiently watching and waiting for progress on either of ours.
Cheers!
Update!

Lots of vitriol over the suggestion of having a 5 minute phone conversation that would give you insight into how allocation works for all vehicle orders, not just your current one.

If you want to add to the little list you're keeping of Stellantis order timelines, my 392XR got built and delivered in less than 4 months. I think some people on the assembly line even used their hands to build it! ;)

Can anyone tell me when my Jeep will be delivered? I ordered in July. ?
Just kidding. Since it's been handed over to the railroad, apparently no one can find out anything. ?
Hoping that it will turn up this week.

The railway company communicates with your dealer and give them a time estimate. (According to my dealer, that’s when they start paying attention regarding actual delivery dates.)

Here's the rundown on mine...

i-XsgFnb3-XL.png

Almost 3 months to the day in C/D before hitting D1, then production about 1.5 weeks later (also note it entered production on a Saturday for the people in this thread that don't use the search function and constantly ask "does the factory make Wranglers on the weekends?"), the 4 days later it was built. It arrived at the AEV dealer in Michigan that it was diverted to on either 12/9 or 12/10 (so about 2-3 days after being built).
What does 8 changes mean???

I wish my company did that. Every time I ask for an update, they say "we haven't got an update". My delivery dealer here in GA are the ones that told me it's at the railyard. MAS couldn't even figure that one out. But the local dealer here can't get any more of an update than that. I've just accepted that the Jeep is just going to appear one day. It's been built since Dec 19th so unless it got placed somewhere and lost, it should be arriving this week or next. Hopefully.
Maybe I'll win the lottery and can buy a loaner until mine arrives. :CWL:

@Paluss It's referencing the number of times the status or dates changed. e.g. going from C to D1 is 1 change. The delivery date changing from one date to another date is 1 change. All together there were 8 status and/or date changes for the particular order you referenced.

Yeah………my sales guy at the dealer has about the same degree of motivation, when it comes to chasing for answers. My best chance for a remote inkling of an update in their end, is when I actually show up at their door step. He did tell me though that once it is on the move, they will get notified by the shipper.
My guess is that the rail yard has a couple thousand vehicles sitting there, being sorted, scheduled and loaded.

Found this plant map on the Stellantis website.
(Hopefully attached link works.)

In the same boat. I have been sitting at the rail yard for 21 days. My dealer said once it is on a train, he gets notified and can track the delivery and see the movement each day. Starting to wonder how many friggin Jeeps they have sitting at that yard since I am seeing more posts like this lately (or so it seems, it may be because I am in the same situation). Thinking Jeep needs a program like BMW where you could pick it up at the plant and save that ridiculous delivery fee, and get your Jeep weeks earlier.

@Victory @guadalupeanne @Justmefor23 - New Update:
The projected EDA of 1/8/23 on the tracker was spot on. My JEEP arrived at the dealer yesterday. In retrospect I’m guessing when they finally updated my tracker to Built; it actually shipped.
Awesome, get those pics up ASAP. My dealer texted me today to say that it’s on the way but also that they don’t know how it’s getting there, by rail or truck, or an eta. She said lately they haven’t been able to see much info and they have just been arriving without notice.

But I’m guessing ours probably weren’t on the same truck/train after all.
