Oh, well that's different. The dealers know a lot more than the trackers do and they know it before. It almost sounds like this guy just wanted to sit back and collect his commission.
Yes. That's why many posters will say reach out to your dealer. Jeep has a lot fo data. Many stages beyond the trackers, and even has shipping info, when it leaves, when it arrives at the railyward, when the truck picks it up. There system has WAY more data than what Jeep makes avaialbel publicly. Some dealers don't want to be bothered, or don't know how to use it or what some of it means. I don't know which is worse, laziness or icompetence., but it sucks either way.

Just passed 2 trucks loaded with new Wranglers in Central Kentucky. Hopefully some of ya'll will be getting "the call" soon! Saw a nice Reign on there and a Willys Earl.

Do you have the $165 connected services credit on your window sticker? If so, that's why you don't have those features.
Interesting. So how does that work? Jeep just randomly decides to not give you the feature and gives you a $165 credit? Or is it specific to certain models?

I know you may not know. Just wondering. My window sticker does not have the credit.

Looks like it was just random for what was on the assembly line at the time and what parts they were missing. They went ahead and built Jeeps and didn't include the feature instead of waiting on parts.

Our 2023 is fully functional, but I wouldn't have cared if the Guardian and hotspot weren't there. I won't renew Guardian past the trial, and canceled the hotspot on our 2021 after upgrading to unlimited 5g service on my phone.

Some info on the tracker in case anyone cares. Here are the number of Jeeps in the tracker (minus those that turned the tracker off), that have reached each stage as of today. Pretty cool that it has tracked that many delivered Jeeps! Thank you all for joining. Fun to see all those Jeeps, even if it is painful for some along the way.

At it's peak, there were 872 Jeeps, not delivered, being tracked. That was in mid-October. Now it's down to about 714.

Not random. I noticed it on my dealer quote before placing my order. I did not know what it was.

My order placed on 10/15, confirmed on 10/17 shows that credit also. Can’t find what it pertains to. I did not order the XM radio feature. Wonder if the credit correlates to that.

Ok.
Mine is a Sport (Base). Curious if others with that credit have same trim level.

I definitely would never use the hotspot. The guardian seems kinda cool. Although the wife has never messed with it since she picked up her jl in September

I agree. My 2021 has all the things. I have never once used the WiFi hotspot… with cellphones these days all having hotspots built-in and phone plans these days not really distinguishing between how you use the data, the hotspot feature just seems completely redundant. It would have been a cool feature in 2009, but now? Pointless.

Admittedly, Sirius Guardian does have some interesting features for a variety of use cases (namely the remote lock / unlock features, and remote start from your phone), but I personally have never used these features outside of testing them when I first got my current JL… directions to your parked car is cool, I suppose, if you frequently go to airports or malls and are constantly forgetting where you parked… but you might want to see a neurologist if you’re constantly forgetting where you parked.

The rest of the features they advertise are hit and miss. Really the only truly intriguing feature that remains is the theft assistance service. Most of the other features have been / can be replaced by mobile devices and accessories that don’t require subscription services, especially from a company as annoying as Sirius is about renewals.
