Day 134 since ordering:

Well.......Thank you very much Jeep. Been in production since September 23rd. Was supposed to be delivered TODAY. And....delivery just went to "TBD" today. Really curious as to what's going on. I know there are people who ordered before me...so I feel your pain. But I had my fingers crossed for a surprise delivery at my dealer today. Glad I wasn't holding my breath!

Jeep is built, sitting in the Toledo yard. I've got some preapproved financing as a backup plan but it's expiring soon and it's going to be whatever it's going to be. I just hate paying more for their delays.

The real truth is this is just a horrible experience. Having a tracker but offering no tracking is a huge mistake on their part. I called Jeep Cares again yesterday and after explaining the entire thing and her putting me on hold for over five minutes (I was encouraged by that), she came back with exactly the same information the tracker reports and when pressed I need to go the dealership. Explained that again, same response.

I'm beyond words that no one @JeepCares has the ability to escalate or provide any additional insight. It all has to happen from the dealership. Again, at what point do get to another level of inquiry? 60 days post-build? 90? Just tell me if you have any checks in your system that says, "Hey, I think this jeep has been here too long."

I've been a loyal FCA customer and I counted up yesterday that we've purchased 22 vehicles in 15 years from them. I'm not really brand loyal, we've been all over the place but a majority of our purchases (yes, we buy/trade a lot) have been FCA because I like Ram, Durango, GC, Hellcats, etc.. Given the models we buy, I'm over 1M in vehicle purchases. I was shocked by my own assessment. I'm done. 100% will never buy another one from FCA (I'm stubborn and stupid that way) and by 19 November I'm done with this one as well.

I'd love to have a 392, hence the ordering, but not being able to provide answers is honestly unacceptable. The dealership seems to be reaching out to Stellantis but I'm not getting a response to those inquiries beyond the "hot tog". We're 16 days into a tag that is supposed to prioritize the jeep to move. Oh well. Sorry, just repeating myself at this point.
Totally understandable and warranted to feel that way. I think most of us are pretty understanding that it takes a good amount of time to schedule, build and ship these things. Fine. What’s ridiculous is like you said, the tracking aspect. It’s amazing to me that a company as big as Stellantis can’t incorporate a better, accurate and INFORMATIVE tracking system.

It is like pulling teeth trying to pry information out on why a build is delayed. Sometimes (often) the dealership is part of the problem by being unwilling to go to bat for the customer or put in the extra work of making phone calls. That being said, after having personal experience with speaking to Stellantis corporate I honestly can’t blame the dealer for not wanting to call corporate. They are so damn vague, evasive and minimal with their information they provide it’s almost useless.

I’ve been stuck “in production” for 116 days on a ‘22 ordered in April. During that time, the dealership for the first few months wouldn’t return my calls and JeepCares was no help. Then Jeep finally released their “tracker”, which provided a minute more bit of info, but all of that was suspect because of the notoriously sporadic updates or even non updates to the info provided.

It finally took me physically showing up to the dealership and chewing someone’s ass out before finding out they had CLOSED DOWN their fleet department and consolidated it into regular sales. I was literally calling a mothballed office. What pissed me off worse, was the few times I spoke to the phone operator they still routed me to that office when they knew it was closed!! I finally spoke with a GM who was helpful and began making calls. Vehicle went into production a few weeks later in July which gave me hope I’d have it in a month or two, tops. That shit came and went and then some, as it was built on July 10th, left the main production facility on the 13th, and went to JB. The only reason I knew those things was because I had sleuthed around and made a contact that worked in the plant who physically saw my VIN roll by.

Thus it has sat at JB since, with no explanation given. Dealer kept bugging Jeep, Jeep kept saying parts shortage and no, deleting said parts wouldn’t speed things up or be allowed. Wtf? Four months now it’s sat there, and it took me writing an email to Stellantis’ Jeep department head to get answers. Even then *I* was the one constantly reaching out. Finally, and with a lot of prodding on my part, they grudgingly admitted the vehicle had been damaged and they were waiting on a replacement bumper.

A bumper. Are you kidding me? Why was it so hard to get an answer? I’m a detective by profession and it blew my mind how hard it was to get this information. I’m excellent at developing contacts and hunting down information and this was a bitch of a time, so I cannot imagine how frustrating it is for people who don’t have the time, luxury or ability to shake trees like I did.

I’ve finally heard from the dealership they bumper allegedly arrives today (sure it does), and the vehicle will be finished this week (sure it will), and finally be shipped next week (uh-huh)…

How hard is it to provide this information to the customer? WHY is it so hard? If there’s a logical explanation, I’m all ears.

Yep, the bottom line is "Information is King" - you either provide or get rid of it.

What's even worse is how random it is. I had a great experience and tracking was spot on. I got the call 8 weeks almost to the hour from when I went in and placed the order.

The tracker updated perfectly and the vehicle even got to the dealership a week earlier than the tracker said after it went to a shipped status.

Why can they be great for me yet so jacked for so many others?

Was your build date 9/16 when you were in D1 status or it was build sooner than projected build date? I got a build date a month later from the day it got scheduled (moved to D1)

Similar build other than I have 2.0, soft top and XR package.. Now that's not similar is it? ?

Right before my 2022 was delivered, mine went TBD as well. Not sure why they do that, but don't give up hope.

Been following this thread since I placed my order for a Manual Rubicon 8/8/2022. Been sitting in C status for 87 Days. Case number with Stellantis has not provided any insight into the delay. Finally, my dealer was able to get in touch with their Mopar rep to try and figure out what the hold up is.
1) BACK ORDER of lane departure sensors for the Advanced Safety Group, no timeline on when they will build cars with this feature.
2) BACK ORDER of Mopar tailgate reinforcement, most likely why Jeeps with XR are delayed. No update on when this part will become available.
3) My dealer told me Manual jeeps are in no way a priority what so ever, only about 2-3 percent of jeeps ordered with Manual have been made. There was a small batch ran end of September, and at this point they do not have another batch "scheduled" to be ran.
My dealer advised me that the best option was to place a new order without the Advanced safety group, and the Mopar tailgate reinforcement. Thus I am now at day 2 once again on my new build. Additionally, he did recommend that if I am tired of waiting to switch to an automatic or Electric as those models are being delivered much faster. Frustrating experience to say the least. Have been extremely patient, but disappointed in Stellantis not providing their dealerships with accurate information to then pass along to customers.

Wrangler has always been a dream car of mine but very close to pulling the plug and picking up a different car. Convince me to continue to be patient. Would hate to cut my nose off to spite my face!

I hear you. I am now into day #6 with my "new/2nd" order w/new dealer after 1st dealer 100% screwed me & my 1st order (7/21/22) was canceled. I am sick of hearing that 6-speed MT is cause for delay. If 6 spd MT represents so few orders & Jeep is so reluctant to make them, then they should just not offer the MT and avoid pissing off customers. I am only going to wait so long on this 2nd order, then I, too, will buy another brand. The Jeep buying experience for me so far has been the worst in 25+ years of ordering/buying cars & trucks - ridiculous!

you gotta stick out the wait for a manual!! i am it sucks but changing that to an automatic would defeat the purpose of me getting a jeep

Dealership told me I’m in KZLD status, which apparently means a shipping delay, unfortunately. I ordered from Mark Dodge and was built on 10/24, for what it’s worth.
I went through them too. Mine was built on either 10/3 or 10/4. Made it to the dealership last week. Mine took 3weeks or so from build to showing up at the dealership. Hopefully yours wont be too far beyond that.

Sounds like it’s on its way now that it says TBD! Hope you get the call it’s arrived soon! Tracker is not updating for me, but Jeep customer care said I’m in production… So don’t lose hope looking at the tracker for us 392s

Fairly common to end up in KZLD. Mine went there on 10/21. Guessing they are waiting to fill up a rail car(s) heading my way. Arrival is current showing 11/14 but for that to happen it will need to get moving very soon.

Ordered 06/30
Scheduled 08/23
Built 10/17 estimated delivery date 11/26
KZ 10/21 estimated delivery date 11/26
