Today marks day 14 of shipping. 14 days to go 579 miles. Can they drag this out anymore?!?

18 days from ordered to scheduled.

35 days from scheduled to in production.

14 days from in production to built.

1 day from built to shipped.

14 days (and counting) from shipped to delivery. Dealer told me last Friday it was 3hrs away.

This process is starting to get pretty frustrating.

Well after my rant/vent this morning, I got a call from my dealer at 5:30 this afternoon saying it has finally arrived! Picking it up Friday! Yahooo!

Well I got locked in at 4.05% for 60 days through my credit union today. I actually feel pretty good about that.

OK now I am really confused about my order status. I was looking at the codes at the bottom of my "Jeeptracker.com" entry.

Well I found a document that lists 213 pages of three digit codes for Chrysler codes. Anyway it show code 4AK which I have 6 times for my other codes in the Jeeptracker. Well the document says that 4Ak is

. Makes me wonder if my Jeep has gone from a D to C six times in 6 weeks or so. It would explain why the my tracker listing show 8 changes instead of the normal 2 changes. On top of the fact that I have no current status. I went out of D1 on 8/23 but no new status has come up since then. My dealer said that his system shows a build date of 10/3 for me. Maybe they are building it and it will suddenly show up as In Production. It will happen when it happens...

My tracker just shows confirmed. That’s C right? Ordered yesterday afternoon. Maybe they are just assigning VINs immediately now?

We’ll you might be in D. That’s when you get a VIN. But the trackers don’t show D they show C then D1. Usually at C/D the teacher doesn’t pick up the VIN. Interesting that it’s there.

The only thing I could find on it is it is a code that allows the dealer to track the build. Not sure if that’s true. But maybe somehow it’s getting added and removed?

i retesting since it’s a 2 door Manual Trans which seems to be pretty low priority.

Update: Built as of 9/30 and new estimated delivery date of 10/17.

Final update: Delivered to the dealer tonight (10/5). Pizza tracker updated to delivery on 10/7. Will be picking it up next week, looking forward to being a first time Jeep owner!

Since this all seems so absurd Lee random does anyone think that the tracking system is just out there to keep us entertained and interested during the process. I’ve had fun chatting with people on this site. Maybe that’s what it’s all about! Jeep wave!
