I took delivery of my HVY Wrangler today. I opted to lease. Got it through US Bank. Apparently US Bank do it a little differently than CCAP. They roll the 7500 rebate into the RV. Means I am unlikely to do the buyout option, but the numbers worked in my favor. Better MF than CCAP.

So if the Residual Value is 40k (for instance), then they give you an RV of 47.5K instead. Not sure if it means you can also claim the 7500 (I suspect not), but it is something to consider.

Not 100% sure if it's dealer holdbacks, bonus pricing or other incentives from Jeep, but I guarantee you that no dealership is gonna lose any money or sell a vehicle without some form of profit.

FCA affiliate pricing should get you 1% below invoice pricing (FWP/wholesale on the build sheet), but not all dealerships will honor this (though a lot do). Joining the Tread Lightly program at the $100 membership level will get you 2 FCA affiliate control numbers for the year. Some dealers that are sponsors here or listed in @Ratbert 's list usually offer around 5% under invoice (sometimes with an extra 1% for affiliate and/or 1% if financing through them), which usually works out to around 10% off MSRP for this year.

You can try finding a local dealer that will honor the 1% FCA pricing and then try to haggle toward 5%, but I had no luck at all trying that in my region.

Same here. Called multiple dealers within 50 miles of home (Phoenix) and none of them would even talk about anything under MSRP! None of them were participating in the affiliate program. I went with Gupton (long drive back home) and saved 11% off MSRP ($7800). I think these guys sell a lot of Jeeps. Flying in and driving back is not for everyone but it will work for me.

And even with the increased costs of shipping recently, with the amount saved, that's still a viable option while still saving some money versus buying local (just not as much). Asking full MSRP on a factory order is bullshit and they know it.

For what its worth too. Im blatantly exagerating my eagerness here.
Is it a bit annoying i have 0 updates since 6/23, sure. Esspecially watching orders from like a week ago be built and shipped. Sure its a bit frustrating.
But ultimately i knew what i signed up for i knew the wait.
But also annoying my dealer told me the one and only update i did bug him for,
"Could be 6 weeks or sooner" and that was 4 weeks ago. And still no movement.
Really though as long as its around Xmas or sooner, is what i expected.
Longer i wait, more is paid off. And my work just offered double time for over 40. Time to work the fall away so i can enjoy it when it shows.
Im still gunna exagerate here on the forum, like a child who wants something. Haha
I have to actively remind myself not to bitch each time I post, cuz I was on a roll for a bit. Now? I'm in the Acceptance stage of grief.?

Day 46 and no movement
Mine looks like the exact color and build, minus mines a 4 door. Our VONs are somewhat close. You are only roughly 2k ahead of me. Mine was ordered 7/24. I’m still in D status. Hard to see all these dealers with several sitting on their lots already and ours haven’t even been put in production cue. But, I’ll patiently wait it out. I’ve waited 20 years, what’s a few more months ?

Dealers here on Cape for order are doing MSRP + additional costs of $1000 or more disguised as extended warranty or paint/fabric protection automatically added to the order! My decision to "shop local" so far has been my worst experience in more than 30 years of ordering all of my cars.

I do know that my dealer excepts the 1% discount I asked him and he said yes as long as it applies when a vehicle comes in and that was for the tread lightly because I was thinking about signing up for that until I found out that my job offers their own program. But if I can use both of them….

Yeah, I don't believe that you could stack 2 FCA affiliate codes for 2% (unless your job's program is something completely different, then.. maybe?)

Order Date: Au 31, 2022

Build:
  • Black 4-door Rubicon
  • 3.6L V6
  • Manual
  • Body-color hard top + fenders
  • 4.88 axle ratio
  • Steel bumpers
  • LED, Cold weather, Trailer Tow & Heavy-duty electrical
  • Trail cam
  • Leather seats

Was my first Wrangler build & custom order. I was not required to "upgrade" the rims so I added the Mopar Sunrider for Hardtop option instead.
Are all these status updates from an app? How do I access info on my ordered Jeep?
