Still doesn’t make sense as to why newer orders are getting priority over older orders. Just saying it’s frustrating
It's not first in, first out. They build what they can build and ship out.

...you will probably be scheduled either next round or the round after that.
Rounds is an interesting idea, but rounds are based would be based on what factors/options? That is the question.

I'm waiting for one at Koons, but I'm stuck at D1 with no scheduled date yet. Ordered 7/4
I ordered 6/23 and was stuck at D1 until this past weekend and I went from scheduled to built.

Rounds is an interesting idea, but rounds are based would be based on what factors/options? That is the question.
If there was logic in it (and that's by no means certain) when building began in the run-up to 8/15 they would look at the parts available to complete the largest number of Jeeps possible. That would be a round/batch 1 and would start the production line moving. Meanwhile, new parts would be ordered based on the specs of sold vehicles. So, you would get a first batch being built with parts on hand, with a second batch waiting for suppliers to replenish parts inventory...

This would suggest that the more options you went for (or the rarer the options are in terms of what's kept in stock) the more likely you might be to wait for a 2nd or even 3rd round of builds...

This just me spitballing, btw, about how it might work. I have no more insight than anyone else around here.

My jeep is showing delivered 9/2 on the tracker. Is it weird that my dealership has had almost no contact with me through the whole process. I would think they would call me once it landed on the lot? I’ve tried calling a texting my dealer over the last couple weeks and being ghosted. I’ll call again today I guess ??‍♂
Not sure if anyone has chimed in yet but I would go up there and secure the Jeep before they sell it. Just politely tell them you got notification your Jeep was delivered and you are ready to pick it up and see where it goes…

How could they even do that if we all (I would think) have to put deposits on the order? I did have the same thought though when I read the original post… like hope they’re not a shady dealer.

I ordered a rubicon xr with almost every option and mopar add ons and mine is currently being shipped.

My theory is more around dealer allocation to determine what gets built when. Like everyone else on here, it’s just a theory and probably not correct.

Well they shouldn’t and hopefully they don’t/won’t.

I would just be politely persistent in person to see if it is on the lot. As we know with the tracker accuracy it might not be there yet or it might be that they are backed up getting it ready for delivery and have not had a chance to notify them yet that it has arrived. Hopefully this is the case.

I am probably over thinking it as usual. ?

Oh

That was my first thought, but I never really got an answer on it. Back in 2011 (last time I ordered a Jeep), I had dealers turn me away because they were out of allocation for the month I was trying to order in. I guess it's possible Jeep changed things to allow dealers to order as much as they want with the knowledge that the orders may not get allocated up front. The other method is more transparent. My dealer did say they had a lot of orders for June. That could be the downside of using one of the dealers with big discounts.

And congrats!

Is this too good to be true? I order on Aug 22nd, the dealer said 12 weeks and then later said 16. Now they are saying on assembly line and done Sep 26th.

The tracker just says scheduled. When I poked I go this reply:

"it is an estimate from the factory of when the build will be complete. It could be sooner and it could take a little longer, it is usually pretty spot on. I will keep an eye on it and keep you posted, if you have questions sooner just send me an email"

Can't be true right? 4xe Sahara.
