Contact your dealer. I ordered 6/13. Currently no VIN on tracker. I contacted JC last Tuesday and they told me no VIN available. I emailed dealer immediately after chat and to my surprise they had my VIN. At the time not scheduled. I have not checked back at this point.
I called dealer and got my vin. In D status. Making progress.

OK people you SHOULD HAVE known that ordering a Jeep right now would be a wait. Especially if you ordered near the end of the 2022 model year. Dealers should have told you it would take a while. If you ordered in June you should not expect anything until October or later, especially if you live a long way from Toledo. When I ordered in March 2022 I was told it could be 16 weeks. I would have waited 6 months or more if I had too. If you do not want wait for a factory built Jeep, then find one on a lot. We are STILL in a pandemic!!! Stores cannot keep food fully stocked, there are shortages of baby formula. ALL car makers have been experiencing parts shortages, especially computer chips. If you cancel your Jeep order good luck ordering something else that you want, as those vehicles will be delayed too. Ask the people who ordered Broncos. I am not trying to be mean, but come on be realistic. If the worst problem you have during the pandemic is that you had to wait 6 months for a Jeep, then you are blessed...
First off, thank you for explaining the world to us. That's always appreciated. Personally, I don't see a lot of complaining here. I see people commiserating, sharing information and trying to make heads or tails out of this ordering process which seems oddly arbitrary sometimes.

Yeah I see no one complaining. IIWII.

You should go on the HDRam Forum if you want to hear a bunch of men cry why their truck hasn't been built after sending an order in 2 weeks ago. :CWL:

I placed my Sahara Altitude order on 6/15, and just heard from the dealer this morning that the cold weather group is holding up the order and that in order to push my order through, they needed to remove the cold weather group, which I really wanted, enough to cancel the order and consider my options. V6 auto. Anyone else heard of this? Seems odd to me.
This is bad news for me. I was really hoping things were lining out in the supply chain area. Oh well, I guess it'll be much longer than I was already settled in for... your Sahara is a 2023, right?

Yep. 2023 Sahara Altitude. I am going to cancel. It actually worked out for me (I think) because when I ordered, I only got 1% below invoice, but (I think) I'm going to place an order for a different Jeep at Dan Cummins for 5% below with my FCA friends and family code.

My current dealer did tell me that they weren't building any Wranglers with cold weather anymore which I don't know that I necessarily believe based on the feedback I've gotten from you all so far.

On a side note, there has been a lot of back and forth on Sahara Altitudes - not going to be produced for 2023, then are going to be produced but will be "Late Availability". I was able to order my Altitude back in June, but when the guy from Cummins went in to do my same build, the option to build a Sahara Altitude didn't exist in his system (he showed me a screen shot). So, if anyone has a Sahara Altitude (or Sport Altitude for that matter) on order and your order appears stuck, you may want to contact your dealer to find out what's going on. I don't want to stir the pot or worry anyone but I don't want you to waste any time if they aren't going to be producing the Altitudes after all. Do with that information what you will and best of luck to everyone that ordered.

I actually ordered from Dan Cummins in Paris, KY too. My build is a Rubicon, but it has every package but the XR and smoker's. I wanted the XR, but it's not available on the diesel, sadly. I pray that the cold weather group doesn't hold us up for long.

Order Date: Jun 9, 2022
Build:
  • Black 2-door Rubicon
  • 3.6L V6
  • Manual
  • Body-color hard top + fenders
  • 4.88 axle ratio
  • Steel bumpers
  • LED group, Safety group, Cold weather group, Heavy-duty electrical group
  • Offroad cam
  • Leather seats
  • Doors-off mirror kit

I kinda went all-out for this build. My first Wrangler, and plan to keep it forever. Looking forward to getting some 35's on black rims, and various other mods.

Forced "upgrade" to the optional rims here too.
You won’t regret the 4.88s with 35s and the MT. I ordered a 22 with 3.6L MT and 4.88s and immediately swapped out stock tires for 35s. Love it!!!

Also I'm jealous you have a VIN and estimated ship date and you ordered two days AFTER me, LOL
Don’t feel bad. I placed order as well on 6/15 with Josh at Randy Marion and paid the deposit but haven’t even got a POC yet, let alone a VON. Going to have to call him Monday morning because he won’t answer my emails..?

I ordered a Sport Altitude and after researching and seeing everyone else’s builds being scheduled and mine not moving, canceled. Had them order me a Rubicon. Didn’t want to sit for several months to be told later that Altitude was canceled all together.

Yeah, more than a month without even a VON sounds odd. I had my VON at the time I placed my order and paid my deposit. Now, I’m just waiting for a VIN…

Hopefully not from Lindsey. So many fundamental screwups.

OMG here we go with “my dealer said this is holding up production“ crap. Dealers know zero to less than zero, cold weather group is probably on 80% of Wranglers that will be cranked out everyday, don’t be a Kryten.
