Anything is possible, but the fact that the Altitude was in the '23 order guide that just came out means you probably have nothing to worry about. Maybe they won't be building them the instant the factory starts producing '23s or something (who knows?), but I think a delay is likely your worst case scenario here.

Thanks for making me feel better. I emailed my salesperson last night asking questions about the Altitude package. I will post what I hear back.

if this makes you feel better, they did pause mine at first for changes in the packages, and it was a pricing change, but more options in the package. so it wasn't terrible.

I agree with your decision not to hold your breath. Especially if they won't start to build any before end of July. I ordered 7/4 and don't even have a VIN. I don't even think it's confirmed that they'll build mine at all.

I have my VIN. But def not holding my breath.

If you're waiting for a VIN on the Jeep track website it probably wont be there. I ordered 6/4, Vin on 6/9, and it still doesnt show on the site.

With that said I also don't have a build date scheduled yet which is quite frustrating when you see all the others after yours moving forward!

I am stoked. I just got off the phone with my dealer who confirmed my wrangler is “being built.” When I asked to clarify if it’s scheduled or being built he said “it’s in the factory” so idk exactly what that means but he gave me an estimated ship date of 8/17.

he said not to expect 8/17 as a firm date but “the system is getting more accurate.” Like many of y’all, I’m not holding my breath but I feel like this just got way more exciting!

I would be nail biting if that were me. I hate the waiting game. Not sure why they can't get the VIN portion of the tracker to update. It doesn't seem like it would be that hard to program?

I ordered my Hydro Blue Willys XR on 7/5, got order number the following day. As of this time, still not scheduled and no VIN on the order tracker site. Should I contact my dealer or will they not have any info that's not on the tracker site? I know from what I've read that Jeep Cares pretty much only refers to the tracker to provide updates so I know that would be worthless.

According to an email I received from someone at Stellantis corporate on Friday, Wrangler production will begin on 8/11, so mid to late August would be the soonest I can imagine anyone taking delivery of a 2023.
