My dealer just emailed me to show I am still “D” status. However I noticed that the order price had increased by $1400 over my 7/21/22 confirmed order, and all subsequent info I got from the dealer. Have any of you seen a price change from the factory in your order as it sits in ”D”?

Dealer let me know my 2Dr was in. Drove up to get an idea what I would get on my trade…they had it out front for me to check it out :) . Can’t pick it up until next week..but I LIKE it!

A few others have mentioned price increases in the 1400-1500 range. If you've got a POC from the dealer, I wouldn't worry too much about it. If they're smart they will honor the price they originally gave you, knowing you'll drag their name over the internet if they don't... :) I certainly will if that happens to me.

It's happened before with popular dealers around here. I personally wouldn't feel too confident unless I placed a deposit and had it in email/writing that the order was 'price protected'.

you are price protected (assuming they checked the price protection box, most do)

I would talk to them about it now. I put down a deposit and have a signed agreement on price.

I never saw that. I was emailed POC and “Motor Vehicle Purchase Contract” signed by my salesperson who no longer works at dealership. I have been communicating with dealership GM as of late. I am waiting to hear if they are going to stand by original price.

My build went up by $700 from Late July to delivery last month. Dealer still honored original price.

I just checked my paperwork from Mark Dodge. It says they reserve the right to increase the price if the MSRP increases. The paperwork also states it’s not actually a binding contract as well. And I also gave them a $1k non-refundable deposit, so I’m out that if I were to walk. That’s all kind of messed up.

They could decide to increase it by $1M and then just say “well thanks for your $1k. Let us know if you’d like to give us another nonrefundable deposit for a contract that says we can do whatever we want.”

ok, I’m being facetious here. Hopefully they wouldn’t actually do any of this. But it does bother me how they basically gave themselves an “anything goes” card.
